"Never a Doubt" For Chen in Three-Way Pot

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Three players went to the turn on a board of 3KQ2 when James Chen bet 42,000 from the big blind. Bryan Chen called on the button, as did Conrad Fourie in the small blind.

The river was the 5 and James bet another 88,000. Bryan tanked for a minute before calling, while Fourie quickly got out of the way.

James showed AJ104 for a rivered straight, and Bryan mucked. "Never a doubt," tablemate Justin Young said to James after the hand.

Liu Forces the Action

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Paul Haus limped from the cutoff, Paul Volpe limped from the cutoff, Motoyoshi Okamura limped on the button, and Michael Hahn limped from the small blind. Sasha Liu exercised her option and raised to 15,000 from the big blind. Everyone called but Hang for an inflated four-way pot.

Liu bet pot for 65,000 on the 2Q5 flop and everyone folded — awarding Liu a nice pot without any resistance.

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Ilia Krupin raised to 6,000 in the cutoff and Matt Vengrin three-bet to 19,000 in the big blind. Krupin called, and they went heads-up to the 7A6 flop. Vengrin then moved all in for 33,000, and Krupin called.

Matt Vengrin: AAK2 All in
Ilia Krupin: AQ103

Krupin showed top pair, but Vengrin had flopped top set. The rest of the board ran out K5, and Vengrin secured the double up.

Triple Up for Zinno

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Left with a short stack, Anthony Zinno was all in preflop on the button for roughly 10,000, and was at risk versus Michael Mizrachi from under the gun, and Christopher Kromidias one seat to his left.

The side action checked all the way down on a 610978 board, and when Zinno tabled Q10109 for a rivered flush, both Mizrachi and Kromidias mucked their cards.

Chen Removes Riordan and Leaves Campins with Crumbs

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

The action was joined on a K76 flop, with John Riordan all in from the big blind for 74,000, and Felipe Campins all in from under the gun for 129,500.

The action was on Bryan Chen in the cutoff, who was contemplating putting his own 126,500 into the pot. After taking some time, he did just that and moved all in as well.

John Riordan: KQJ7 All in
Bryan Chen: AK77 All in
Felipe Campins: AA42

The 2 turn and 10 river did not affect the standings, seeing Chen scoop in the huge pot, and Riordan hit the rail early into Day 2. Meanwhile, Campins was left with just one big blind.

Volpe Doubles Through Schwartz

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Paul Volpe
Paul Volpe

Paul Volpe raised the pot first to act and it was folded to Noah Schwartz, who three-bet to 25,000 in the big blind. Volpe called.

Schwartz bet enough to put Volpe all in for his last 22,000 on the 86K flop and Volpe committed his stack into the middle.

Paul Volpe: AQJ8All in
Noah Schwartz: KQJ10

Volple was was behind, but immediately pulled into the lead after the A turn improved him to aces-up.

The 8 river needlessly left Volpe with a full house and he was awarded the double up on one of the first hands of play.

"You run so good against me," Schwartz commented as Volpe collected the pot.

"Do I?" Volpe responded.
