Soderstrom Eliminates Dang

Barry Borgmeyer on the button raised to 500,000 and Stefan Soderstrom reraised to 1,700,000. Qun Dang in the big blind four-bet all-in for 1,850,000 sending Borgmeyer to the tank. He ultimately folded. Soderstrom matched the difference and the two players headed to showdown.

The flop came AQ4 giving Soderstrom more outs to turn things around with a straight draw but Dang's hand decreased the outs of it being completed. The J fell on the turn which was all Soderstrom needed to beat Dang's hand.

The river 9 sealed Dang's fate to be eliminated from the tournament.

Li's Pocket Sevens Counterfeited

Zheng Li opened to 325,000 in middle position and Jared Henry on the button reraised 525,000. Joel Larson in the big blind four-bet all-in to 1,400,000.

Li replied with his own all-in jam for 3,375,000 pushing Henry out and taking Larson to a showdown.

Li told the dealer to wait until he got on his feet. Once done, the dealer flopped 8JK. Li was anxious and visibly praying for none of Larson's over cards to hit.

The turn was another K and the river a J creating a higher pair on the board counterfeiting Li's pocket pair, and giving the pot to Larson for a double.

No Help For Peralta

Samuel Peralta led out for 700,000 on the 656 flop from middle position, leaving a single 500,000 chip behind. Samuel Hawley then moved all in on the button, asking for the rest of his opponent's stack.

Peralta took some time before sticking in his last chip, and the hands were turned up.

Thomas Heinrich checked the 62J flop from the big blind, and David "ODB" Baker fired a bet of 250,000 into a pot of around 700,000.

Heinrich called to the 5 turn, where both players checked. One last check from Heinrich followed the 7 river, and Baker counted out a bet of 1,250,000.

That sent Heinrich into the tank, taking a few minutes before opting to let his hand go.
