Qun Dang: 10♠10♣
Stefan Soderstrom: K♠J♣
The flop came A♦Q♦4♦ giving Soderstrom more outs to turn things around with a straight draw but Dang's hand decreased the outs of it being completed. The J♠ fell on the turn which was all Soderstrom needed to beat Dang's hand.
The river 9♥ sealed Dang's fate to be eliminated from the tournament.
Zheng Li opened to 325,000 in middle position and Jared Henry on the button reraised 525,000. Joel Larson in the big blind four-bet all-in to 1,400,000.
Li replied with his own all-in jam for 3,375,000 pushing Henry out and taking Larson to a showdown.
Joel Larson: Q♥10♥
Zheng Li: 7♦7♣
Li told the dealer to wait until he got on his feet. Once done, the dealer flopped 8♥J♣K♣. Li was anxious and visibly praying for none of Larson's over cards to hit.
The turn was another K♠ and the river a J♦ creating a higher pair on the board counterfeiting Li's pocket pair, and giving the pot to Larson for a double.
Samuel Peralta led out for 700,000 on the 6♣5♣6♦ flop from middle position, leaving a single 500,000 chip behind. Samuel Hawley then moved all in on the button, asking for the rest of his opponent's stack.
Peralta took some time before sticking in his last chip, and the hands were turned up.
Samuel Peralta: A♠K♦
Samuel Hawley: Q♠Q♦
Peralta called for an ace or king, but found none on the 8♣ turn or 10♠ river as Hawley earned the elimination.
Action was picked up on the river with a board of 8♦J♦2♠9♥10♣, and the pot was about 500,000. Jacob Gruny was all in for 1,050,000 from the cutoff, and Karina Gottler called from late position.
Jacob Gruny: A♥10♠
Karina Gottler: A♠4♠
Gruny held the best hand with a pair of tens.
David Muser moved all in for 1,925,000 from under the gun, and Ryan Johal stuck in a larger stack from the cutoff. The rest of the table folded, leaving Muser at risk heads up.
David Muser: A♠Q♦
Ryan Johal: A♣K♦
Muser sighed as he saw the bad news, but found life after making Broadway on the K♠10♥J♣ flop. The 7♦ turn and 5♥ river were blanks, leaving Muser with the double-up through Johal.
Thomas Heinrich checked the 6♣2♥J♥ flop from the big blind, and David "ODB" Baker fired a bet of 250,000 into a pot of around 700,000.
Heinrich called to the 5♥ turn, where both players checked. One last check from Heinrich followed the 7♥ river, and Baker counted out a bet of 1,250,000.
That sent Heinrich into the tank, taking a few minutes before opting to let his hand go.
