Scott Seiver and Nick Schulman are both just two eliminations away from adding another chapter to their already glittering World Series of Poker careers after advancing to the final three players in Event #8: $1,500 Badugi.

By the time play concludes inside the Paris Ballroom tonight, either Seiver or Schulman could become an eight-time WSOP bracelet winner, joining Shaun Deeb, Michael Mizrachi and Benny Glaser in one of poker's most exclusive clubs.

The tournament attracted 554 entries and generated a prize pool of $735,435. With only three players remaining, each finalist has already secured $62,920, while $94,607 awaits the runner-up and $141,963 is set aside for the champion.

Buchalter Building a Massive Stack

Heads-up on a flop of 86K, Yehuda Buchalter bet from the hijack and Jyri Merivirta called in the big blind.

Buchalter bet again on the 10 turn, and Merivirta called. Both players checked down the 8 river, and Buchalter showed AK75 for two pair to win the pot.

Vieira found the final ace on the K3A flop for top set. Wantman turned a flush draw on the 4, but the 8 river bricked off to send him packing.

Over at another table, Olli Kokko raked in the last of $1,500 Omaha Hi-Lo champion Jason Daly's chips, eliminating him from the tournament.

Robert Mizrachi defended his big blind against Yueqi Zhu's under-the-gun open-raise. Both players knuckled the table on the 9K4 flop, prompting Mizrachi to lead with a bet on the J turn.

Mizrachi bet again on the J river. Zhu quickly called, and Mizrachi tabled KK810 for a full house. Zhu just shook his head and added his cards to the muck in defeat.

After a bet in front of him on a board of J2Q4, James Chen raised in the cutoff and was called by Matthew Wantman in the big blind and Dylan Lambe under the gun.

The river was the 6 and Chen bet. Both opponents called.

Chen then turned over AA93 for the nut flush and nut low. "Don't you just like when you raise the turn and make it on the river?" tablemate Chino Rheem said to Chen.

"I wanted to fold the turn so bad," Wantman lamented as he was short on an extreme short stack.

Wong Gets Chopped Up

Danny Wong was all in for his last 8,000 in the big blind. Ashish Gupta then raised in the hijack, and Owais Ahmed called in the big blind.

The duo checked through the 7582 flop and turn, prompting Ahmed to bet on the K river. Gupta quickly called, and all cards were tabled.

The side pot was chopped, with Ahmed having A1072 for a low, and Gupta tabling K852 for two pair. Wong received no part of the pot with his QJ54, and he quickly vacated the tournament area.
