Arieh Folds Out Three

Kevin Choi raised from under the gun, which Owais Ahmed called in the cutoff before being joined by Josh Arieh and Ashish Gupta in the blinds.

Arieh took the initiative on the 10K8 flop, with his bet folding out Gupta, but Choi and Ahmed called.

The K turn saw Arieh bet again, and this time both his opponents folded.

Gus Hansen bet from under the gun on a flop of K107 and Todd Brunson called in the cutoff, as did Qinghai Pan in the small blind.

"Everybody's got something," Hansen said going to the Q turn. All three players checked to the 3 river, where Hansen bet. Only Brunson called.

Hansen turned over AJ82 for a turned straight, and Brunson mucked.

"Did you check the turn?" tablemate Joshua Wang asked Hansen.

"Is that allowed?" Hansen replied.

"For you, not for me. That's how you get paid," Wang added.

Lambe Wins Without Showdown

Matthew Wantman raised under the gun and faced a three-bet by Dylan Lambe in middle position. Thomas Taylor then called cold in the hijack, and Wantman came along as well.

Lambe placed a continuation-bet on the 6KJ flop. Taylor quickly folded, but Wantman check-called to the A turn.

Lambe bet again and received another check-call from Wantman. Lambe fired a third barrel on the 5 river, but he got no further action as Wantman mucked his cards after some deliberation.

Ben Yu was hovering on a short stack when he raised in the hijack. It folded to Derek Dubois in the big blind, who called. Dubois then led with a bet on the Q106 flop, which Yu called.

The 2 turn saw Dubois check, prompting Yu to go all in for 27,000 in total. Dubois quickly called.

Dubois needed an ace for half the pot, but the river came the meaningless 2 instead, doubling up Yu.

Esposito Says Hello to His New Table

John Esposito's table just broke and he took his new seat at Maksim Pisarenko's table. The dealer then asked the floor whether Esposito should be dealt in.

"Why wouldn't I be?" Esposito replied, and he was allowed to play the hand.

"As long as he doesn't win the first hand, then it's not fair," Christopher Vitch added.

Esposito then opened in middle position and Pisarenko three-bet on the button. Esposito called, and they saw a flop of JA7. Pisarenko then bet, and Esposito raised.

Pisarenko called that bet, and continued to call down Esposito on the K turn and 9 river. Esposito then showed AQ109 for a straight, and Pisarenko mucked.
