Vallinas Gives One, Then Gets It Right Back

Level 13 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Action folded to Jon Vallinas on the button, who moved all in for 340,000. Jeremy Ausmus called from the big blind, putting his tournament life at risk.

Jeremy Ausmus: KJAll in
Jon Vallinas: Q10

The board ran out A2586, offering no help to Vallinas and allowing Ausmus to double up.

On the very next hand, Vallinas was all in again and received a call from Henrik Hecklen in the big blind.

Jon Vallinas: A8All in
Henrik Hecklen: J10

The board of 72Q95 failed to improve either player, and Vallinas' ace-high was enough to earn him a double-up, winning back the chips he had just lost.

Birizdo Doubles Through Fuchs, Leaves Him on Fumes

Level 13 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Chris Hunichen opened to 40,000 from early position, only for Istvan Birizdo to three-bet all in for 220,000 from the next seat. Tom Fuchs sat in the very next seat and also moved all in for 230,000. Hunichen exited stage left sharply.

Just what Birizdo ordered on the 854 flop to leave Fuchs in deep trouble. The A peeled off on the turn and Q on the river, and the pot was shipped to Birizdo for a double-up, leaving Fuchs with just over half a bowl of rice.

Foxen Takes it from Plesuv on the River

Level 13 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Pavel Plesuv made it 40,000 to play from the hijack and found a call from Kristen Foxen in the big blind.

The flop came AK10 and Foxen check-called Plesuv's 55,000 continuation-bet for the K to peel off on the turn.

The 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP) kicked off back on May 26, and now it is in the home stretch as June has come to an end and the $10,000 Main Event is underway. More than 70 tournaments have awarded bracelets thus far, and the PokerNews Live Reporting team has been on-site all summer long, capturing the action.

During that time, they've reported on some entertaining hands, bad beats, and more, which we're happy to feature in the latest edition of "Hands of the Week" presented by GTOWizard.

The remaining 62 players are now heading into a 15-minute break.
