A Bad Spell for Shack-Harris

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Seven-Card Stud

David "Bakes" Baker: {X-}{X-} / {A-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} / {X-}
Brandon Shack-Harris: [XxXx[ / {2-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{5-Clubs} / {X-}

David "Bakes" Baker bet the sixth and seventh streets. Brandon Shack-Harris called the first bet rather quickly and the latter after plenty of consideration. On seventh street, he placed his chips on top of Baker's, and the latter rolled over {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for a pair of aces to claim the pot.

Adam Crawford: {X-}{X-} / {2-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{A-Spades} / {X-}
Brandon Shack-Harris: [XxXx[ / {Q-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades} / {X-}

One hand later, Shack-Harris completed with a queen showing, and Adam Crawford defended his bring-in. Crawford called bets until sixth street, and Shack-Harris then checked seventh street. Crawford bet and was called. He announced a flush and showed {J-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{7-Clubs} to win the hand.

Some Post-Dinner Counts

West Busts After Dinner

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Razz

Paul Sokoloff doubled up his stack of 12,500 chips in seven-card stud with a pair of kings, while two razz hands brought plenty of action.

West: {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts} / {10-Clubs}{A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{J-Spades} / {X-}
Taylor: {J-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades}

West was already all in and mucked after seventh street when Esther Taylor had improved to a nine-eight, joining the rail in 47th place.

William Klevitz: {X-}{X-} / {4-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{9-Spades} / {X-}
Francisco Hernandez: {X-}{X-} / {2-Spades}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts}{6-Hearts} / {X-}

One table over, Francisco Hernandez battled with William Klevitz and called bets from his opponent on both sixth and seventh streets. Klevitz turned over {7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs}, and Hernandez mucked {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} to remain very short in chips.

Big and Notable Dinner Stacks

Ellis No More

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Limit Hold'em

Helen Ellis was the initial raiser from early position and David "Bakes" Baker called in the big blind. The latter bet the {K-Hearts}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts}{7-Clubs} turn, and Ellis called before doing so again on the {J-Hearts} river. Baker showed {K-Clubs}{7-Hearts} for two pair, and Ellis mucked.

Down to one big blind, she shoved the next hand, and Pouria Amiraslani raised. Benjamin Dobson called in the big blind and check-raised the {10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop to force a fold from Amiraslani.

Ellis: {7-Spades}{5-Spades}
Dobson: {10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

The {A-Diamonds} turn and {K-Diamonds} were both blanks for Ellis, and she could all but smile before heading to the rail.

Pescatori On the Rise

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

There were three limpers, with Max Pescatori and Stuart Williams on the button among them. On the {8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{10-Clubs} flop, Pescatori bet, and Williams raised. Only Pescatori called. After the {A-Hearts} turn, Pescatori check-called a bet before betting the {3-Spades} river.

Williams sighed, contemplating his action for a good minute before releasing the cards into the muck.

Le Doubles Singer, then Doubles Through Dickson

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Limit Hold'em

On a {K-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} flop, David Singer was all in and at risk against against Huy Le.

Singer: {K-Clubs}{6-Hearts}
Le: {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}

The board ran out with the {3-Hearts} and the {5-Diamonds}, and Singer doubled.

A moment later, Le was all in and at risk preflop with {2-}{2-} against Adam Dickson's {10-}{10-}. Le spiked his deuce on the {K-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{5-Clubs} board and doubled back.

The Field is Shrinking

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Among those to bust recently was also Mike Gorodinsky. Short stack for most of the day, he hung around for a long time before eventually joining the rail. There are less than 50 players remaining and the dinner break is just 15 minutes away.
