Joe Cada

Joe Cada was behind early in his match but gutted out a big win versus a very tough professional in Jason Koon. We have one match remaining in the Brasilia room between Cate Hall and Taylor Paur. Paur was behind early on but has taken control with a 3-1 chip advantage.

Taylor Sends Cate to the Hall

With about 42,000 in the pot and the board reading {6-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{3-Spades} {q-Spades} {q-Clubs} the action was on Cate Hall for her tournament life. Hall had 31,900 remaining and Taylor Paur had bet enough to cover her stack.

After agonizing over the decision for what felt like a few minutes, Hall called and saw the bad news when Paur tabled {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}. Hall immediately mixed her hole cards into the muck with a bit of a smile and congratulated Paur by acknowledging the great match they just had and wishing him luck.

Erik Seidel Finds a Jack to Double Through

Level 18 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Richard Kirsch moved all in on the button and Erik Seidel called for his remaining stack of 25,800 in the big blind.

Seidel was in rough shape with {A-Spades}{J-Spades} against Kirsch's {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{2-Clubs} {5-Spades}, and as Seidel started backing his chair up to stand up, the {J-Hearts} fell on the river to give him two pair, along with the double up.
