Rangel Spikes King to Double

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

World Series of Poker bracelet winner Justin Liberto raised to 4,000 and Vitor Rangel moved all in for 36,900 from two seats over. Liberto eventually called and tabled {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} while Rangel had a flip with {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}.

The {Q-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop and {7-Hearts} turn failed to improve Rangel, but he got there on the {K-Spades} river to double just before the money bubble with 165 players remaining. Raymond Leone was less fortunate, as he had busted just prior.

Queens Cracked Before the Money

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Leonardo Vilela opened to 4,700 first to act and Troy Sprungl called from two seats over. On the button, Bryce Daifuku shoved for 46,700 and Vilela eventually called, forcing out Sprungl.

Bryce Daifuku: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}
Leonardo Vilela: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}

The {9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop immediately improved Vilela to a set of nines, and he kept the lead throughout the {3-Hearts} turn and {2-Hearts} river to reduce the field to the last 166 hopefuls.

Reichenstein and Pirraglia Eliminated

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Eddy Sabat cracks aces just before the money bubble
Eddy Sabat cracks aces just before the money bubble

Salvatore DiCarlo, Uri Reichenstein and Timothy Pirraglia missed out on the money.

Pirraglia three-bet all in for his last 31,800 and initial raiser Eddy Sabat reluctantly called, then rolled over {A-Spades}{10-Spades}. Pirraglia turned over {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} and stood up from his seat. "You don't stand up," Sabat said and got a sweat on the {J-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop.

The {A-Clubs} turn changed nothing, but a cruel {8-Diamonds} hit on the river to eliminate Pirraglia.

Meanwhile Reichenstein's roller coaster ended one table over. He built the stack back up to 80,000, dropped down to 17,000 and now got it in with {K-Spades}{10-Hearts} against the {A-Spades}{9-Hearts} of Carlos Reis. The board came {3-Spades}{2-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and Reichenstein also has missed the money.

Dolan Eliminates Macedo

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
John Dolan
John Dolan

John Dolan opened from middle position up to 4,500. Thiago Macedo three-bet to 12,000 from the cutoff. Dolan took about a minute and then moved all in covering Macedo. Macedo didn't hesitate to push in the rest of his chips, which was roughly 40,000.

Dolan tabled {a-Spades}{k-Spades} and Macedo showed {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Spades}{4-Spades} and after a friendly flop for Macedo, Dolan rivered a flush, sending him the pot and upping his stack to close to 200,000.

More for Gregg

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Jeffrey Gregg raised to 4,500 and Jordan Turoff three-bet to 11,000 on the button. Chad Holloway called in the small blind and Gregg came along. The trio checked the {A-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop and did so again on the {Q-Diamonds} turn. After the {Q-Clubs} river, Holloway checked and Gregg bet 18,000. Turoff folded and Holloway took off his sunglasses before eventually calling.

Gregg rolled over {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} for runner-runner trip queens to claim the pot. Holloway, who won the Event #1: $500 Casino Employees No-Limit Hold'em in 2013, is not the only WSOP bracelet winner at the table as Ken Aldridge is there as well. Other notables include Mike Vanier and Pete Chen with big stacks.

Ta Doubles Up

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Daniel Wagner opened in late position and Vinny Ta moved all in from the blind for 15,100. Wagner called and Ta tabled {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}, while Wagner showed {10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}.
