Esfandiari Eclipses 5 Million

Level 15 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Antonio Esfandiari raised from the hijack and Phil Galfond called from the big blind.

The flop came down {A-Spades}{7-Spades}{6-Spades} and Galfond checked to Esfandiari who continued for 95,000. Galfond check-raised to 240,000, Esfandiari called, and the turn was the {6-Diamonds}. Galfond bet 380,000, Esfandiari called, and the {4-Clubs} river completed the board. Both players checked.

Galfond turned over what looked to be {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}, but Esfandiari had it beat wth {J-Spades}{J-Clubs} to win the pot.

Carrel Bets and Mucks

Level 15 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Dan Shak checked in the big blind against Charlie Carrel, who was under the gun. The board read {5-Spades}{6-Hearts}{a-Spades}{j-Clubs}. Carrel bet 180,000 after eyeing Shak's stack, and Shak called. On the {6-Spades} river, Carrel bet a hefty 500,000, but Shak was quick to raise all in.

"I do not have the best hand," Carrel said before folding to preserve his last 470,000.

Kabrhel Suffers Bad Beat

Level 15 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Martin Kabrhel
Martin Kabrhel

It was announced that Table 713 was about to break, but the hand in progress was still to be played before the racking up would start. The action had folded to Martin Kabrhel in the small blind, who took his time making his decision. Big blind Martin Jacobson just leaned back in his chair patiently.

"I thought maybe I go all in," Kabrhel said.

"What, you have a small pair?" Jacobson replied.

"Possible," Kabrhel quipped.

After some more time in the tank, Kabrhel opened to 465,000. Jacobson shoved for 1.58 million and Kabrhel snap-called.

Martin Jacobson: {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}
Martin Kabrhel: {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}

The flop came {Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{J-Spades}, pairing Jacobson. The {Q-Hearts} on the turn improved the Swede's hand to a full house and the {7-Hearts} on the river didn't hit Kabrhel.

Kabrhel's countryman Leon Tsoukernik came over and Kabrhel turned over his hand to show what had happened. While we don't speak Czech, we're pretty sure Kabrhel sarcastically said, "Pre-flop, no problem..."

Kabrhel was down to 400,000 after the hand and busted shortly after.

Colman Over 3 Million

Level 15 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Stephen Chidwick (big blind) and Haralabos Voulgaris (under the gun) checked to Dan Colman on the button with {7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} on the felt. Colman fired 275,000, and only Chidwick called. On the {7-Diamonds} river, Chidwick checked.

"Nitty check back," Colman declared.

Chidwick turned over {q-}{j-} but Colman had {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for aces up. Voulgaris said he threw away pocket queens.

Tsoukernik Bluffs Off, Then Doubles

Level 15 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Leon Tsoukernik checked from the big blind with 500,000 in the middle on the turn of a {9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts} board, and Michael Kamran checked back in the cutoff. On the {9-Hearts} river, Tsoukernik bet 350,000, and Kamran quickly called.

"You win," Tsoukernik said.

Kamran showed {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}.

The next hand, Tsoukernik jammed in the small blind for 240,000 and got a snap-call from Doug Polk.

Polk: {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Tsoukernik: {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

Tsoukernik was in a dominating position and the {a-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{k-Spades}{5-Clubs}{j-Hearts} board kept it that way.

Moore Doubles Through Schindler

Level 14 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Chris Moore raised to 90,000 from under the gun, Antonio Esfandiari called from the button, Jake Schindler three-bet shoved from the big blind for 1,005,000, Moore re-shoved, and Esfandiari folded {K-Spades}{Q-Hearts} face-up.

Moore: {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}
Schindler: {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}

The board ran out {K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}, giving Moore a set of jacks to double through Schindler.
