Gregorich Adds Some More in No-Limit Hold'em

Level 5 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Mark Gregorich faced off against Gary Benson, with the action caught up on the {6-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{2-Spades}{8-Diamonds} river. Benson, who was in the big blind, checked to Gregorich (under the gun). Gregorich fired 12,500 into a pot of roughly 30,000 chips. Benson took his time but eventually wanted to see Gregorich's cards and paid the price.

Gregorich opened his {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} for a top pair and top kicker, adding another chunk to his big stack.

Sulsky Doubles Through Ashton

Level 5 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante
Matthew Ashton
Matthew Ashton

No-Limit Hold'em

Coming to the river of the {7-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{4-Spades}, there was already more than 80,000 in the pot. Ben Sulsky was on the button, but there was yet another button lying in front of him — the one indicating an all in. Sulsky had his remaining chips stacked in front of him, making the count easily accessible from a distance. It was 93,600.

Sulsky's head was leaning on the rail with his headphones in his ears. Ashton was stretching his arms, trying to figure out what to do. He took a good amount of time before calling, but Sulsky didn't know about that for a few seconds as he'd been trying to escape into another world.

He moved his head up, finally learning of Ashton's call. Sulsky rolled over {K-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for the second nuts, ensured he was going to double up.

Ashton briefly showed his {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for a lower flush and shipped the required amount of chips Sulsky's way.

Benyamine Triples Up

Level 5 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

David Benyamine raised all in for about 8,000 from under the gun, Dan Smith called from the button, Leon Tsoukernik re-raised all in for about 230,000 from the big blind, and Smith chuckled.

"I have a hand. It's more than 200?" asked Smith.

"I'm sure you're going to fold," said Tsoukernik.

"You're probably right," said Smith, who folded a few moments later.

Tsoukernik tabled {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}, while Benyamine trailed with {J-Clubs}{9-Spades}.

The board came down {Q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, giving Benyamine a pair of nines to triple up.

Shakerchi Choppd by Soulier and Glick

Level 5 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo

Talal Shakerchi bet on fifth street with queens up. Glick raised with three low cards on his board, and Fabrice Soulier cold-called with a pair of deuces exposed. Shakerchi called, as well.

Glick continued in his aggression, betting again on sixth. Both Soulier and Shakerchi called.

The river was checked to Soulier, who bet. Shakerchi called, but Glick paused. He started shuffling with 8,000 in chips, apparently considering a raise. Eventually, he threw in only one of those chips, calling.

Talal Shakerchi: {X-}{X-} / {6-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{7-Clubs} / {X-}
Michael Glick: {X-}{X-} / {4-Hearts}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs}{6-Clubs} / {X-}
Fabrice Soulier: {X-}{X-} / {2-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} / {X-}

Soulier showed {7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades} for a flush and an eight-low, while Glick's {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{8-Clubs} were good for a seven-low. Shakerchi's hand couldn't claim either part of the pot, and he ended up chopped.

Shak Value Bluffs Matusow

2-7 Triple Draw Lowball

Dan Shak raised under the gun, and Mike Matusow called to his direct left.

Both players took two cards on the first draw. Shak bet, Matusow raised, and Shak called. On the second draw, both players drew one and checked the subsequent betting round. They exchanged another card on the final draw, after which Shak bet. Matusow took some time before flicking in a call.

Shak had his hand ready to muck face-down, but Matusow showed {2-}{2-}{7-}{6-}{5-} for a pair of deuces.

"Oh, he has a pair?" Shak asked. He then showed {K-}{7-}{4-}{3-}{2-} for the winner.

"I knew he was bluffing," grumbled Matusow after the hand.

"Yeah, I was," quipped Shak as he stacked up the chips.
