Abdine Doubles Up

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante
Shivan Abdine earlier in the tournament

With just over 9,000 already in the pot and the board spread out {j-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Clubs} the player in the big blind checked. Shivan Abdine was on the button and moved all in for 10,025 in chips.

His opponent went into the tank for several minutes as Abdine sat there motionless staring at the board.

Eventually, Abdine called 'time' on his opponent and watched as the clock ran down to just a few seconds before his opponent finally made the call.

Abdine then tossed his cards into the middle of the table exposing {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs} for a flush. His opponent flung back in his chair in disbelief before watching the pot get pushed over to Abdine.

Darchinyan Knocked Out

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

Victor Darchinyan found himself all in and at risk holding {a-Diamonds}{k-} versus his opponent's {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{q-Clubs} to see him flop a flush draw but ultimately falling to his opponent who had flopped a flush.

Trivedi Can't Pull the Trigger

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

Muneer Trivedi raised to 600 from under the gun and was called by the player in the hijack. The player on the button then re-raised to 2,000 and Trivedi snap-called after the blinds folded. The hijack mucked as well.

The flop came {9-Hearts}{2-Spades}{7-Spades} and Trivedi checked. The player on the button then moved all in for his last 7,250. Trivedi cut out the call and placed it aside before deliberating over his decision.

He eventually folded and was shown {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} by his opponent.

Habib's Rollercoaster With Queens Finally Ends

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Bassan Habib was more than happy to tell the media of his demise from the tournament today.

Just before the break, Habib played three hands with the last one sending him to the rail.

In the first, a player raised to 600 and was called. Habib then re-raised with {q-}{q-} to 1,650. Both opponents called.

The flop came {q-}{7-}{3-} and the first player bet 1,700 and was called. Habib then moved all in for 11,900. The original better called with less behind. The other player folded.

Habib's opponent tabled {k-}{k-} and was awarded the double when the {k-} dropped on the turn.

A short-stacked Habib then opened to 700 with {q-}{q-} two hands later and was met with a raise to 1,700. He called.

The flop came {q-}{10-}{4-} and Habib checked. His opponent put enough chips to put Habib all in. He called. Habib's opponent then showed {k-}{k-} but couldn't improve resulting in Habib doubling up.

The final hand saw a player raise and get called by Habib holding {j-}{j-}.

The flop came {6-}{3-}{j-} and Habib check-raised all in after his opponent bet. Habib waited as his opponent went into the tank for several minutes before making the call.

He was up against {q-}{q-}, and as you may have expected, a {q-} dropped on the turn and Habib was done.
