Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante
Rob Spano (from a previous event)
Rob Spano (from a previous event)

The player on the button raised to 1,600 before Robert Spano re-raised to 3,300 from the small blind. The bet was called.

The flop came {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and Spano wasted no time firing out 3,400. The bet was enough to take down the pot after Spano's opponent quickly mucked.

Portaro Gets a Fold

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

Bruno Portaro raised to 1,600 from under the gun plus one and was called by the player in the big blind.

The flop came {2-Spades}{4-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and the big blind checked. Portaro continued for 1,200. His opponent called.

The {6-Spades} dropped on the turn and Portaro's bet of 2,600 was enough to see his opponent check then fold awarding him the pot.

Zhang Sets Up Zheng

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

Singapore's Lionel Zheng opened the action with an early position raise to 1,100 with Shurane Vijayaram making the call from one seat over and button Lirui Zhang and both blinds making the call to take action five way to a flop of {a-Spades}{7-Hearts}{k-Clubs}.

This was checked around and the {9-Diamonds} peeled off on the turn, bringing in a bet of 2,600 from Vijayaram. Zhang flat called the button, the player in the small blind called as did the big blind before Zheng check-raised to 10,600.

Vijayaram gave Zheng a grilling and after a minute or so in the tank, he opted to fold, telling PokerNews after the hand he had {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}. Action was back on Zhang who made the call and both blinds bowed out.

The {4-Diamonds} river saw Zheng pull the trigger and move all-in with Zheng asking if he had ace-king, before Hollywood tanking and making the call with {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} for a set, which was good. Zheng showed {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} and mucked to drop to 37,000 while Zhang climbed to 61,000.

Jun Wang raised to 1,200 from the hijack. Dejan Boskovic called from the button as did John Caridad from the big blind.

The flop came {j-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and Caridad checked. Wang continued for 2,000. Both Boskovic and Caridad called.

All three players checked the {3-Hearts} on the turn followed by the {k-Hearts} on the river.

"King!" announced Boskovic, before Wang tabled {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}, prompting a fold from Caridad.

"Beat me by one," added Boskovic, before looking down at his cards one more time then releasing them to the muck.

Vijayaram Sitting Pretty Following Tank Fold

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante
Shurane Vijayaram
Shurane Vijayaram

The board showed {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{10-Spades}{10-Hearts}{a-Hearts} and a large pot had amassed in the middle of the table.

Shurane Vijayaram checked from the cutoff. His opponent on the button bet 11,000. Vijayaram then went into the tank.

Several minutes passed before the player on the button called time on Vijayaram.

Vijayaram accepted the call, and deliberated a little longer whilst the tournament floor counted him down, before eventually folding his hand.

Vijayaram still sits behind a stack totalling 84,000 following the hand.

Bowen Busts Wheldon

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

With the community cards spread {7-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{a-Spades}{6-Diamonds} Andrew Wheldon was all-in with {k-}{q-} against the {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} of David Bowen. Wheldon wished the table good luck and headed for the exit, while Bowen stacked up to around 46,000.

Tony Kambouroglou is also seated on this table, just to the left of Corey Kempson, and has evidently been a busy bunny over the last few levels and has run his stack up to the giddy heights of 130,000.
