Campbell Eliminated by Xu

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante
Robert Campbell
Robert Campbell

Bradley Livermore limped into the pot from under the gun plus one. Tobias Giles raised to 1,600 from middle position before Vincent Xu three-bet to 4,000 from the hijack. Robert Campbell then announced he was all in for 28,200. Livermore and Giles quickly folded. Xu asked for a count then called.

Xu: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Campbell: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

The board ran out {6-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}, improving Xu to a higher pair on the flop, resulting in Campbell's pocket kings being cracked sending the 2019 WSOP POY to the rail early in proceedings.

Lynskey Falls After Being Caught

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante
Alexander Lynskey (earlier in the series)
Alexander Lynskey (earlier in the series)

Both Alex Lynskey and his opponent checked the turn on the {7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{k-Hearts} board before the {8-Diamonds} completed the board.

The player in the big blind checked before Lynskey bet 5,200 from the button.

The big blind deliberated over his decision for a few minutes before finally making the call.

Lynskey tabled {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for jack-high before his opponent flipped over {q-Clubs}{8-Hearts} for a pair and the winning hand.

Hindmarch Bests Egan

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante

The board showed {10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{j-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and both Andrew Hindmarch and Michael Egan checked before the {4-Diamonds} completed the board.

Hindmarch checked from middle position before Egan tossed out 13,000. Hindmarch called shortly after.

Egan tabled {a-Spades}{5-Spades} for a pair before Hindmarch revealed {10-Spades}{8-Spades} for two pair and the winning hand.

Li Folds Out Symonds and Vukovic

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante

Over on table three, Mladen Vukovic made it 1,000 to go on the button and small blind Karl Symonds responded with a three-bet to 3,200 in total with big blind Lok Ching Li cold calling and Vukovic tossing in the extras.

The action went three-way to a flop of {3-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{5-Clubs} which saw Symonds check, opening the door for Li to take a stab for 5,500, which was enough to win the hand on the spot when both Vukovic and Symonds folded.

Kempson Pays Off Zhang

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante

Xiaojun Zhang opened the action with a raise to 1,000 from late position with Corey Kempson defending from the big blind to take play heads-up to a flop of {9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{q-Spades}.

Kempson checked the action over to Zhang, who fired out a 1,000 continuation bet, with Kempson making the call to keep the two in action to the {6-Hearts} turn, with the action going check, check.

The {7-Spades} river saw Kempson take a stab for 3,000 with Zhang re-popping to 8,000. After several minutes in the tank, Kempson made the call, but mucked when Zhang revealed {8-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}.

Zhang climbed to 40,000 after the hand, while Kempson dropped down to 43,100.

Smith Fades the Diamonds to Double

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante
Adam Smith
Adam Smith

There was an under-the-gun raise to 900 and two callers, one of whom is down in the player list as Stan L in on the button before big blind Adam Smith squeezed to 4,000.

Smith received zero respect for his big squeeze with both opponents making the call to take action three-way to a flop of {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-}.

Smith continued for 5,000 which was enough to deter one of the calls, but not Mr. L who raised to 12,000, with Smith responding with a shove. Mr. L called immediately and the two revealed their hole cards.

Smith had the lead in the hand with {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} though Stan L was drawing extremely live with {5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for the gutshot straight flush draw. Fortunately for Smith the turn and river bricked out and he stacked up to 60,000 while Stan L dropped to 40,000.

Feature Table Fun

Level 3 : 200/300, 300 ante
Ryan Otto
Ryan Otto

Over on the feature table the action folded around to Ryan Otto in the cutoff, who is evidently still recovering from his three and a half hour heads-up battle with Jonathan Karamalikis in the High Roller as he announced a raise to 750.

However, this proved problematic as there are no 25 denomination chips in play. The floor was called to decide whether Otto had to make it 700 or 800, with the former decided upon.

Big blind Vincent Xu was the only caller, with the flop falling {j-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}. Xu checked it over to Otto, who jokingly announced 631 and was immediately reprimanded by the dealer, who evidently did not find it all that amusing.

Xu made the call to keep the duo in action to the {8-Diamonds} turn, which Xu checked over to Otto, who ended the hand with an 1,800 second barrel.
