Fronda Plays the Nuts

"I had to slowplay pocket Queens to death."
"I had to slowplay pocket Queens to death."
It took him a minute to comment, when he found the cards on their backs (him all in vs. Max Katz), "Oh he's drawing dead!" Perhaps Ryan Fronda was waiting for the irrelevant river to relax fully...after it looked like his opponent had put him all in and he had called his remaining chips.

Fronda: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}
Katz: {6-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

Board: {Q-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}
The river: {9-Clubs}

Achilleas Kallakis Eliminated

Achilleas Kallakis pushed all-in from early position and got a quick call from Tim Flanders. Kallakis somewhat sheepishly turned over {Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} to Flanders' {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}.

"You're actually not that far behind," said Jamie Gold, by way of consolation.

The flop came down {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}. "Well, now you are," quipped Gold.

The turn was the {6-Clubs} and Kallakis was drawing dead.

Roland de Wolfe Eliminated

Roland de Wolfe was all in with {K-Spades}{Q-Spades} vs Julien Bertazzon's {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades} on a flop of {9-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Spades} and needed a spade to survive against Bertazzon's set. The turn was the {K-Hearts}, the river was the {3-Hearts} and De Wolfe was eliminated... and not very happy about it, due to the length of time it took Bertazzon to call his all in with top set on the flop.

"That was bad. REALLY bad. Did you know what you were doing there?" he said, on his way out the door.
