No Comeback For Alvarado

JC Alvarado was left behind with little chips after doubling up Isaac Haxton just before the break. After the break he got his final eight big blinds into the pot with {Q-}{8-} from the button. Andrew Lichtenberger called from the big blind with {K-}{Q-}, and the board brought mere blanks.

Dan Smith Out, Varlashin in

Under unknown circumstances Dan Smith has just been eliminated. The only thing we heard is that he lost with pocket tens to jacks.

All players agreed on letting one more player in. Vladislav Varlashin, who finished 23rd Place for €26,661 in the Main Event, was the final player to enter this tournament. That brings the total amount of entries up to 49. A payout is expected shortly.

Short Day For Patel

Emil Patel yesterday in the Main Event
Emil Patel yesterday in the Main Event

Emil Patel entered as one of the last players, but he's already been knocked out. Justin Bonomo took out Patel and he explained to us what happened.

Bonomo raised under the gun and Patel ended up defending his big blind. The flop came down {A-}{K-}{10-} with one diamond, and Patel check-called 12,000.

The turn brought the {5-Diamonds} and this time Patel check-called 37,000. The board was completed with a {4-} and Patel checked a third time. Bonomo bet 100,000, and Patel called all in for 85,000. Bonomo turned over {a-}{K-} and took down the pot. Patel mucked his cards and made his exit.

Andrulis Busts Wahlroos

Kristijonas Andrulis (Day 1)
Kristijonas Andrulis (Day 1)

From the hjiack seat, Thomas Wahlroos raised to 6,500. Scott Seiver called from the cutoff seat, then Kristijonas Andrulis reraised to 18,500 on the button. Play folded back to Wahlroos, and he made it 41,000 to go. Seiver folded, but Andrulis had other things in mind and moved all in.

"All right, let's go," said Wahlroos after a minute of thought. He held the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}, but was crushed by Andrulis' {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}.

The flop, turn and river ran out {J-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, and Andrulis won the pot. He had Wahlroos covered and moved to just under 400,000 in chips.
