Vogelsang Coolers Christner for Massive Double-Up

Level 10 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Christoph Vogelsang
Christoph Vogelsang

Christoph Vogelsang found himself a massive double-up, courtesy of a big setup against Christian Christner. Holding {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}, Vogelsang got it in on a {K-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{7-Spades} board. On the flop, 900,000 went in and another 600,000 was added on the turn.

The river was for Vogelsang's entire stack of 2,175,000 total and Christner wasn't going anywhere with {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}. The setup left Christer with a million and launched Vogelsang to 7,500,000.

Rich Get Richer; Kanit and Schemion Eliminated

Level 10 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Mustapha Kanit open-raised all in for 700,000 from the small blind. Charlie Carrel called in the big blind.

Mustapha Kanit: {q-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Charlie Carrel: {a-Spades}{4-Hearts}

The pair shook hands, but there was no help for Kanit on the {5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and he was eliminated.

Meanwhile Ole Schemion was sent to the rail at the hands of Martin Kabrhel when Schemion's {q-}{j-} fell to his opponent's {a-}{j-}.

Savinelli Eliminated by Carrel

Level 10 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Carlo Savinelli
Carlo Savinelli

Charlie Carrel raised to 125,000 on the button and Carlo Savinelli defended his big blind.

The flop came {j-Hearts}{2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and Savinelli check-called for 65,000. The turn {7-Diamonds} was checked by both players.

The river was the {k-Diamonds}. Savinelli checked and Carrel bet a whopping 700,000. Savinelli moved all in and Carrel went into the tank.

After a while the clock was called and Carrel eventually called. Savinell turned over {a-}{9-} and Carrel won the pot with {k-Clubs}{10-Spades}, eliminating Savinelli.

Level 9 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Sam Trickett
Sam Trickett

With around 280,000 in the pot, Sam Trickett and Dietrich Fast went heads-up to the flop of {j-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Spades}. Trickett checked from the big blind and Fast bet 150,000 on the button. Trickett check-raised to 360,000 and Fast made the call.

The turn brought the {6-Hearts} and Trickett fired another 725,000. Fast stuck around to see the {j-Clubs} on the river. Trickett checked this time and Fast checked behind. Trickett reluctantly turned over {10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for a missed straight draw and Fast showed {j-Spades}{10-Spades} for trip jacks to rake in the pot.

Just after Mustapha Kanit doubled up with {k-}{q-} against the {7-}{8-} of Ognjen Sekularac after a Queen-high flop, Ramin Hajiyev was all in from the hijack and was called by John Racener in the big blind.

Ramin Hajiyev: {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}
John Racener: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

The board ran out {9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Spades}{10-Hearts} and Hajiyev was eliminated.

Gruissem's Overbet Gets Called

Level 9 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

On a flop of {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts} with around 200,000 in the middle, Philipp Gruissem led out for 80,000 from the big blind. Christoph Vogelsang called from middle position and the {6-Clubs} landed on the turn.

Both players checked to the {q-Clubs} on the river and Gruissem fired a huge over-bet of 600,000. Vogelsang went into the tank and looked more agonized with every second that passed. He finally made the call and Gruissem tabled {a-Spades}{q-Hearts} for top two pair and Vogelsang's cards hit the muck.

Table Talk: Selling Action for High Rollers

Level 9 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Rob Yong
Rob Yong

"I have a question," said Rob Yong to his table, "If you had to bet how many people in this field had 100% of their own action, how many would you say?"

The table, which included Albert Daher, WSOP 2017 final tablist Jack Sinclair, Steffen Sontheimer and Kenny Hallaert thought.

"You probably have," said Hallaert to Yong.

"What do you mean!" Yong replied with a smile, "I sold 95%! I'm going for 11 players."

"I take the under," said Hallaert, "Even people who are playing for fun give 5% to their friends or something."

"People moan about players in these high roller tournaments selling their action to 10 people or something," said Yong, "But that just means 10 people are railing one guy!"

The turn brought the {9-Diamonds}. Gruissem bet 900,000, Christner shoved around 2,600,000 and Gruissem folded.
