Mateos Runs One Out on Boeree

Adrian Mateos bet 80,000 from the button on a {3-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} flop and Liv Boeree called from the big blind. They both checked the {2-Diamonds} and Mateos bet 350,000 when checked to on the {k-Hearts}. Boeree called fairly quickly but Mateos showed the bad news: he'd run two pair with {k-Clubs}{2-Clubs}.

On a {j-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{9-Spades}{a-Diamonds} river and with around 800,000 in the pot already, Thomas Muehloecker moved all in and Jean-Noel Thorel called.

Muehloecker showed {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} for a rivered to pair while Thorel was forced to turn over {j-Hearts}{q-Hearts} and handed over some chips to his opponent.

Manig Loeser shoved all in and Antoine Saout called. Earlier, Loeser had the best of, outkicking Saout's {a-}{j-}, but this time Saout was ahead. Saout again had {a-}{j-} and Loeser had {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}.

Again, neither player connected with the board and Loeser was eliminated by Saout.

Hellmuth on a Nub

Phil Hellmuth opened to 120,000 in the cutoff and got put to the test by big blind Liv Boeree. He double-checked his cards and then folded after thinking briefly.

Afterward, he told everyone not to be mad if he turned over aces in that spot.

"It's not a slowroll," he explained. "Sometimes I only see an ace and raise, and then I have to look at the second one."

Kisacikoglu Doubles Riess and Doubles Through Kempe

Orpen Kisacikoglu is on the ropes after losing an all in to former WSOP Main Event Champ Ryan Riess.

Riess hit an ace on the river to beat Kisacikoglu's pocket sevens. A few hands later, Kisacikoglu got his remaining 85,000 in against Rainer Kempe. Kempe had {8-Spades}{7-Spades} against the {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} of Kisacikoglu.

Kisacikoglu flopped a queen and stayed ahead to earn the small double.
