Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Niall Farrell
Niall Farrell

Laszlo Bujtas opened for 5,400 early and Niall Farrell made it 19,200 in the small blind. Bujtas peeled and they saw a {q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{9-Spades} flop. Both players checked. Farrell checked the {5-Diamonds} and Bujtas bet 20,000. Farrell called. The river brought a {2-Hearts} and another check from Farrell. Bujtas moved in for what turned out to be 79,200 effective. Farrell called about 15 seconds later.

Farrell: {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Bujtas: {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

Ship the double to the €25K champ, who put a dent in Bujtas' huge stack.

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Markus Dürnegger
Markus Dürnegger

Markus Durnegger (big blind) and Gianluca Speranza (button) built a pot of about 100,000 on a board of {5-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{9-Spades}. Durnegger bet 53,000 on the end and Speranza called without much delay. Durnegger said something and seemed less than inclined to turn his hand over.

"You going to show your hand or not?" Speranza asked.

Durnegger obliged by showing {4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Speranza tabled {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}.

Cimbolas Tanks and Five-Bets

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Matas Cimbolas
Matas Cimbolas

Matas Cimbolas had what appeared to be a three-bet to 14,000 in front of him and was deep in the tank in the cutoff. That's because Pierre Neuville had 34,000 out on the button. Someone called a clock, and Cimbolas announced a reraise to 72,000 just as his five-second countdown was about to expire. Neuville folded after about a minute.

Nicky Romanello Finds the Call Button, Busts Petrangelo Before Break

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Nick Petrangelo, in an earlier event.
Nick Petrangelo, in an earlier event.

Two players checked to Nick Petrangelo on a completed board of {10-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{7-Hearts}. He moved all in for about 64,000. One player mucked but Nicky Romanello in the cutoff was stickier. He got the count and then verbalized a call. Petrangelo softly knuckled the table and slid the dealer his cards: {q-Spades}{6-Spades}. Romanello showed {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}.

Players are on break for 20 minutes.
