Chen Doubles Through Gadja

Level 4 : 300/500, 500 ante
Zhong Chen
Zhong Chen

Lars Kamphues raised to 1,200 from under the gun, Robert Gadja three-bet to 3,600 from the cutoff which Zhong Chen called in the big blind. Kamphues then four-bet to 11,200 which both Gadja and Chen called.

The flop came {q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}, both Chen and Kamphues checked. Gadja bet 17,7000 which only Chen called.

The turn brought them the {4-Spades} and Chen checked again. Gadja shoved with the slightly bigger stack and Chen snap-called.

Robert Gadja: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Zhong Chen: {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}

Gadja held the flopped top pair but was behind against Chen's flopped top two pair.

The {10-Diamonds} on the river meant Chen would double up for the 64,600 he had in front of him leaving Gadja behind with less than eight big blinds which he all lost in the hand right after to Paul Michaelis.

Filatov Wants to be the Bully

Level 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

Marco Slacanac raised to 2,500 from under the gun and Anatoly Filatov called in the big blind.

"He's a bully, especially against me!" Filatov said to the PokerNews live reporting team.

The flop came down {7-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}, Filatov check-called the 2,000 continuation-bet of Slacanac.

The turn brought them the {6-Diamonds}, Filatov now check-called the 5,000 bet of Slacanac.

The river completed the board with the {8-Spades}, Filatov took over the initiative now by leading out for 10,000. Slacanac considered it for a bit and then called. Filatov tabled {10-Hearts}{10-Spades} for the rivered straight.

"Queen?" Filatov asked Slacanac, Slacanac nodded and then showed the {q-Hearts}.

"I'm going to be the bully now," Filatov said. "This table is crazy! Viktor (Blom) three-bet to 20,000 on a raise!"

"I thought the yellows were 1,000!" Blom said apologetically with a small grin while shrugging his shoulders.

"Yeah, I thought it was nice sizing," Filatov responded with a huge smile on his face. "Look at that stack, he's got like 900 big blinds now! It's ridiculous!" Filatov exclaimed referring to Slacanac's stack.
