Wiesler Takes Wang Down

Level 2 : 200/400, 0 ante

Bjorn Wiesler raised to 1,400 from the hijack and Hao Xiang Wang three-bet to 3,100 from the small blind. Will Givens quickly folded his big blind and Wiesler responded with a four-bet to 6,000. Wang shoved for around 20,000 and Wiesler called.

Hao Xiang Wang: {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}
Bjorn Wiesler: {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}

The flop came {10-Spades}{j-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} to give Wang a pair of jacks and Wiesler the set of fours.

The turn was the {5-Hearts} which meant Wang was now drawing dead and the {9-Spades} was just a formality to complete the board. Wang quickly got up from his chair and had a quick chat with Quan Zhou before leaving the tournament area.

Berende himself just lost a hand against Aleksandr Merzhvinsky where Merzhvinskiy had flopped a flush with {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} on the {q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Hearts} board.

Over on one of the other tables, Joel Ettedgi and Roger Teska were also eliminated.

Cynn Over Sigurjonsson

Level 2 : 200/400, 0 ante

Gudmundur Sigurjonsson completed his small blind and John Cynn raised to 1,500 from the big blind which Sigurjonsson called.

The flop came {7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{10-Spades}, Sigurjonsson check-called the 1,000 bet of Cynn.

Level 2 : 200/400, 0 ante
