Taranenko Bubbles After Having Qualified for €0.01

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Viktor Taranenko
Viktor Taranenko

Viktor Taranenko was short when the bubble started and didn't manage to build any momentum up during the bubble as he was forced all-in in the big blind for his last 12,000 after paying the 12,000 ante. Gary Hasson raised to 29,000 from under the gun and the rest of the table quickly folded. They had to wait till all action was closed on the other tables before their cards could go on their backs. Hasson was the first to show and then Taranenko slowly revealed his cards that he hadn't looked at yet.

Viktor Taranenko: {10-Clubs}{4-Hearts}
Gary Hasson: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}

The dealer slowly revealed the {2-Spades}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop which didn't change the situation at all as Hasson was still in front.

The turn was the {j-Clubs} kept Taranenko behind, looking for a ten or four on the river.

The {5-Spades} on the river completed the board for Taranenko to bust in 82nd place without a cash. Taranenko qualified online for €0.01 and was bitterly disappointed to not have made the money. He quickly left the tournament area, clearly upset, while the rest of the players celebrated their min-cash and rushed to the buffet to enjoy their 60-minute dinner break.

When the players return from their dinner break, they will have 72 minutes left to play of Level 17 which features a small blind of 6,000, big blind of 12,000, and a big blind ante of 12,000.

Hevron Eliminated by Wilmsmann

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Jona Wilmsmann raised to 25,000 from the early position, Yaki Hevron three-bet to 80,000 from the big blind and Wilmsmann took his time to consider his options. After a while, Wilmsmann shoved and Hevron snap-called for around 350,000.

Yaki Hevron: {A-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Jona Wilmsmann: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

The flop came {a-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{9-Spades} to give them both a pair of aces but keep Hevron ahead with the king-kicker.

The turn was the {10-Diamonds} for Wilmsmann to pick up the flush draw.

The river completed the board with the {3-Diamonds} to give Wilmsmann the flush indeed to eliminate Hevron in 83rd place.

Tregoubov Folds to Szecsi

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

The board read {4-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{3-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} with 366,000 in the middle already.

Bujtas Collects More on the Bubble

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Laszlo Bujtas raised to 27,000 from the hijack and Koray Aldemir called in the big blind.

They both checked through the {7-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{j-Hearts} on the flop to the {6-Diamonds} on the turn. Aldemir check-called the 24,000 bet of Bujtas.

The river completed the board with the {10-Spades}, Aldemir checked for the last time and Bujtas decisively bet 100,000. Aldemir contemplated his options and then opted to fold.

Value for Sinclair; Morgan Snap-Folds

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

In the last hands of the previous level, with already 275,000 in the pot, Jack Sinclair was on the button and bet 160,000 on a {K-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{A-Diamonds} board. Kristaps Vismanis called from the blinds but gave Sinclair a thumbs up when the Brit showed {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}.

At another table, James Morgan had presumable limp-raised in the blinds to 110,000 after Steve Warburton had made it 40,000. Warburton shoved all in and Morgan snap-folded.
