Higgs Wins a Big One, Chen Ousted

Level 10 : 8,000/16,000, 24,000 ante

Razz

James Chen: {x-}{x-} / {7-}{a-}{8-}{j-} / {x-}
Sam Higgs: {x-}{x-} / {4-}{a-}{k-}{7-} / {x-}
Joao Vieira: {x-}{x-} / {4-}{7-}{4-}{10-} / {x-}

Picking up the action on fifth street, James Chen led out with a bet and Sam Higgs raised. Joao Vieira called as did Chen. On sixth, Chen checked this time. Higgs bet and Vieira called while Chen stuck in his last 50,000 chips.

On the final street, Higgs quickly bet again. Vieira went into the tank for over three minutes and the clock was eventually called. Vieira finally made the call and all three hands were shown.

Sam Higgs: {4-}{a-}{k-}{7-} / {5-}{4-}{2-}
Joao Vieira: {4-}{7-}{4-}{10-} / {a-}{k-}{8-}
James Chen: {7-}{a-}{8-}{j-} / {j-}{8-}{5-}

Higgs had a seven which meant Vieira's ten was not good enough. Chen was sent to the rail and Higgs moved out front into the lead.
