Glaser Eliminates Baker and Blom

Level 13 : 10,000/25,000, 35,000 ante

Limit Hold'em

On a board reading {8-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}, David "ODB" Baker was all in for his last 435,000. He was up against Benny Glaser who found the magical turn card. Baker held {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for two pair while Glaser had {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for a straight. The river was the {3-Spades} and Baker was eliminated.

A couple of hands later, Viktor Blom found himself all in for around 250,000 and was up against Glaser. Blom held two live cards with {k-Clubs}{j-Spades} against Glaser's {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}. However, the flop of {a-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} left Blom drawing slim. The {9-Diamonds} on the turn left Blom drawing dead to the {2-Spades} on the river.

Pisarenko Eliminated by Hellmuth

Maksim Pisarenko
Maksim Pisarenko

No-Limit Hold'em

Daniel Negreanu raised to 60,000 and Ryan Riess called in the big blind. He check-folded to a bet of 60,000 on the {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop.

One hand later, Phil Hellmuth opened to 75,000 and Thomer Pidun in the cutoff three-bet to 200,000, which Hellmuth called. The flop brought {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and Hellmuth check-raised from 150,000 to 325,000 in order to win the pot.

Hellmuth raised to 75,000 once more and Maksim Pisarenko shoved for 270,000 in the small blind. Hellmuth called after some consideration and the cards were turned over.

Maksim Pisarenko: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Phil Hellmuth: {a-Diamonds}{5-Spades}

The {q-Spades}{j-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop brought no surprise yet but Hellmuth picked up a gutshot on the {4-Spades} turn. It was the {5-Clubs} river that ended his run as Hellmuth improved to a pair of fives. Both shook hands and Pisarenko then quickly left the tournament area.

"ODB" Stays Alive, Filatov Chipping Up

Level 13 : 10,000/25,000, 35,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Robert Campbell made it 60,000 to go and Besim Hot potted it to 215,000 on the button. David "ODB" Baker stuck in the last of his 175,000 from the big blind and Campbell called. The flop came {10-Spades}{7-Spades}{4-Hearts} and both players checked to the {5-Diamonds} on the turn. Campbell check again and folded when Hot bet the pot.

Baker showed {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} but was trailing Hot's {a-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts} who turned two pair. However, the {7-Hearts} on the river gave Baker a bigger two pair as he tripled his stack.

Next door playing the same game, Sam Higgs and Anatoly Filatov were heads-up on the turn with the board reading {k-}{10-}{9-}{3-}. Higgs checked to Filatov who bet 150,000 and Higgs called. The river was an {8-} with no flush draws being completed.

Higgs check-called another bet of 225,000 from Filatov. Filatov opened {q-}{j-}{10-}{7-} for the nut straight while Higgs had two sets with {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}.

No-Limit Hold'em

Julien Martini in the small blind limp-called a raise by Jeff Lisandro in the big blind and check-called a bet of 110,000 on the {10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop. The {2-Hearts} turn was checked and Martini check-called the shove of Lisandro with {a-Clubs}{4-Spades} for top pair, as Lisandro briefly showed his cards and tossed them into the muck.

One hand later, Oleg Pavlyuchuk raised to 60,000 and Martini called on the button, as did Tony G in the big blind. The {j-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop was checked by Tony G, Pavlyuchuk bet 105,000 and Martini came along. No betting action followed on the {a-Hearts} turn and {3-Diamonds} river, Martini tabled {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} and that won the pot.

Campbell Draws to the Nuts on Seventh

Level 13 : 10,000/25,000, 35,000 ante

Razz:

Benny Glaser: {x-}{x-} / {7-}{8-}{7-} fold
Besim Hot: {x-}{x-} / {7-}{a-}{4-}{5-} / {x-}
Robert Campbell: {x-}{x-} / {j-}{5-}{2-}{9-} / {x-}

Picking up the action on fourth street, Benny Glaser acted out of turn and made the first action with a bet. Besim Hot just called, Allen Kessler folded, and Robert Campbell also folded.

On fifth, Hot correctly acted first and tosed in a bet. Campbell called and Glaser got out of the way. Hot bet again on sixth and Campbell still called. On seventh, Hot fired again only to have Campbell raise this time. Hot called but Glaser whipped out {a-}{4-}{3-} for the nuts. Hot showed {q-}{j-}{6-} for a seven but it was no good.
