Kellner Calls Down Negreanu

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

A completed board of {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{3-Spades}{5-Hearts} was spread across the table with just over 30,000 in the middle. Pavel Kellner and Daniel Negreanu were heads-up in the blinds and Negreanu had a bet of 22,000 sitting in front of him.

Kellner went deep into the tank for nearly three minutes while Negreanu sat silent. Kellner eventually flicked in a chip to call and Negreanu flipped over {9-Clubs}{8-Spades}. Kellner had that beat with {a-Clubs}{7-Spades} and took down the pot.

Hansen Dominates but Busts

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Jesper Hansen opened from the button and Dominik Kloenne announced all in from the big blind. Hansen thought about for a bit and then splashed his chips into the pot to indicate a call.

Jesper Hansen: {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Dominik Kloenne: {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

The board ran out {a-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{4-Clubs} with Kloenne hitting a runner-runner flush to eliminate Hansen.

Another 15-minute break just started for Day 1f, with the end of it signaling the end of late registration for the day.

Kurbel Puts Negreanu in a Tough Spot

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

In a three-bet pot with a little over 30,000 in the middle, the dealer spread the flop of {9-Clubs}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs}. David Kurbel led out for 8,000 from the big blind and Daniel Negreanu called in position.

The turn was the {8-Spades} and Kurbel pushed all in for 31,500. Negreanu asked for a count and thought for a moment before slipping his cards to the muck.

Koehler Snags a Double Up

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Jan Koehler opened to 3,500 from under the gun and Shahaf Nacson three-bet to 9,000 in the hijack. The action folded back to Koehler who just called. The flop came {8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Koehler checked to Nacson who continued for 17,000. Koehler check-raised all in for 44,300 and Nacson quickly called.

Jan Koehler: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Shahaf Nacson: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}

Hernandez Leading the Pack

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Julien Hernandez has probably the biggest stack of the field for Day 1f. In his latest hand he eliminated with {5-Clubs}{5-Spades} Robert Claraz who was holding {j-Spades}{9-Hearts}.

The board came {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{6-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and Hernandez's stack is now 290,000. His table though is one of the toughest in the field, since Shaun Deeb and Robert Campbell are sitting there.

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 12,000 ante

The action started with Lubomir Rulik raising to 2,500 under the gun, Mftiulfe Allouch called from middle position and Roberto Manfredi shoved from the small blind for 9,500. Both Rulik and Allouch called and the flop came {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{3-Hearts}.

Rulik check-called a bet at 12,000 from Allouch and the {k-Spades} came on the turn. Both players checked when the {k-Spades} that appeared on the turn and the {k-Diamonds} completed the board on the river.

Rulik led for 15,000 and Allouch called quickly to see the bad news when Rulik opened {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for a rivered full house. Manfredi busted with {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs} and Allouch had to show his {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}.

Francis Hatchikian: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
