Manfredi's Bluff Gets Called

The board read {q-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and Avital Katz checked from the big blind. Roberto Manfredi tossed in a bet of 6,000 into a pot of around 11,000. Katz called and the {j-Diamonds} completed the board.

Katz checked again and Manfredi sized up a bet of 16,000 this time. Katz deliberated for a moment and then called. Manfredi just slid his cards to the muck in frustration and Katz tabled {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs} to claim the pot.

Ashelm Takes from Deeb

Level 8 : 300/600, 600 ante

Shaun Deeb and Robert Ashelm built a more than 10,000 chip-pot preflop and the flop was {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{2-Spades}. Deeb bet 3,500 and Ashelm check-called.

The {6-Diamonds} came on the river and both players checked.

The {q-Clubs} completed the board on the river and Ashelm led for 5,000 with Deeb calling quickly. Ashelm tabled {q-Spades}{10-Hearts} for a rivered two pair and Deeb mucked his hand.

Fichtner's Kicker Plays Against Stumpf

Level 8 : 300/600, 600 ante

The board was {9-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{8-Spades} and Ewald Fichtner had announced all in for 28,300. Frank Stumpf was his opponent and he tanked for a bit, then called.

They both had a pair of nine but Fichtner's kicker was better, with the {4-Spades} on the river locking the pot for Fichtner.

Valent Turns a Straight

Picking up the action on the flop of {9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}, four players were still in the hand. The action checked to Zoran Ilicic in the cutoff who bet 3,800 into a pot of around 5,000. Flavio Decataldo called on the button, Vladimir Valent called in the small blind, and Shaun Deeb got out of the way.

The turn brought the {8-Diamonds} and the action checked around to the {7-Clubs} on the river. Valent led out for 6,200 which Ilicic called. Decataldo also gave it some thought but decided to fold. Valent tabled {10-Clubs}{6-Spades} for a ten-high straight and Ilicic couldn't beat it.

Kaseroni Can See the Future

Level 7 : 300/500, 500 ante

Diego Pedersen opened to 1,100 in middle position and was called by Rico Kaseroni in the hijack. Alexei Chernin three-bet to 4,300 on the button and both Pedersen and Kaseroni called. The flop came {10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and the action checked around to the {5-Hearts} on the turn.

Pedersen led out for 8,000 this time and Kaseroni min-raised to 16,000. Chernin quickly folded and Pedersen stuck around to see the {3-Diamonds} on the river. Pedersen checked and Kaseroni counted out a bet of 17,000. Pedersen looked him up and Kaseroni showed {3-Spades}{3-Hearts} for a rivered full house.

Schmidt Doubles with Set

Level 7 : 300/500, 500 ante

Thomas Schmidt was spotted shoving for 11,500 chips on a {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} board.

Moran Azran was his opponent and after some deliberation he decided to call with {a-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}. Schmidt showed him the bad news when he opened {8-Spades}{8-Hearts} with a set that won him the pot after the {3-Hearts} on the river.

Kubis Beats Aces and Kings for the Double Elimination

Level 7 : 300/500, 500 ante

The dealer spread a {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop, in which Gavriel Allah was already all in preflop for a relatively small main pot, against Pavel Berka and Marian Kubis. Berka bet 8,300 on the flop and Kubis called.

The {6-Spades} came on the turn and Berka announced all in with Kubis snap-calling with an unbeatable hand.
