Pernot Takes From Negreanu

Level 10 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

With 15,000 in the middle and the completed board showing {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{4-Clubs}, Daniel Negreanu faced a bet of 11,500 by Stephane Pernot and eventually called.

Pernot rolled over {k-Spades}{q-Hearts} for a straight and Negreanu mucked his cards in frustration to hit Ashot Oganesian and expose {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for two pair.

Do Doubles Over Peck

Level 10 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

The hand was three-way on the turn with the board showing {9-Spades}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs}{j-Clubs} and Vladimir Peck had announced all in for 153,000 from the cutoff after Anh Do's check, and the action was on Ahmad Achegsei who started the hand under the gun.

He spent almost five minutes in the tank, took out of his stack the chips to call but eventually folded. Anh Do needed a lot of time to decide too, but finally called for 92,500 he had behind.

Anh Do: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Vladimir Peck: {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

Do with second pair and Peck with a flush draw, a gutshot straight draw and two overcards had a lot of outs to send his opponent to the rail. The {2-Hearts} on the river wasn't one of them and Do doubled up, leaving Peck with around 20 big blinds.

Mirzikinian Shows a Bluff

Level 10 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Warwick Mirzikinian
Warwick Mirzikinian

Picking up the action on the five-way turn of {q-Spades}{7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}, Warwick Mirzikinian in the small blind check-raised to 51,000 and Thomas Hammerl made the call from under the gun while David "ODB" Baker and Wuai Tsang had folded.

Mirzikinian bet the {9-Clubs} river for 85,000 and that sent Hammerl deep into the think tank. After nearly three minutes he folded and Mirzikian first flashed the {8-Spades} followed by the {a-Hearts}.

"I had the best hand anyway," the Aussie joked in table chat.

The board read {9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{6-Hearts} with 36,000 in the middle.

The river completed the board with the {5-Diamonds} and now Jorstad fired a bet of 24,000 over the line. Braude folded.

Kassouf's Kicker Comes Up Short

Level 10 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

William Kassouf raised it up from the hijack and was called by Besmir Hodaj on his left in the cutoff. The two players saw a flop of {q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Kassouf continued for 10,000. Hodaj called and the {6-Spades} paired the board on the turn.

Kassouf tossed in another bet of 19,000 and Hodaj stuck around to see the {j-Spades} on the river. Both players tapped the table and Kassouf turned over {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}. Hodaj, however, tabled {k-Hearts}{q-Spades} for a better kicker and pulled in the pot.

Big Slick No Good for Kisacikoglu

Level 10 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

In the last hand before the break, Espen Jorstad raised to 4,000 in middle position. Orpen Kisacikoglu three-bet to 18,000 in the small blind and Jorstad called. The flop fell {8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{7-Clubs} and Kisacikoglu continued for 10,000 which Jorstad called.

The turn was the {7-Hearts} and Kisacikoglu fired out another bet of 16,000. Jorstad still called and the {j-Hearts} completed the board. Kisacikoglu checked this time and Jorstad checked it back. Kisacikoglu showed {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} but Jorstad held {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for a full house to earn the pot.
