Kabrhel Chalks Up Another

Level 13 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Martin Kabrhel opened to 10,000 in middle position and Aslan Kalmaz three-bet to 40,000 in the big blind. Kabrhel called and the flop came {j-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts}. Kalmaz led out for 20,000 and Kabrhel stuck around to see the {9-Spades} on the turn.

Kalmaz checked this time and Kabrhel dropped in a bet of 50,000. Kalmaz check-raised to 150,000 and Kabrhel quickly shoved all in. Kalmaz called off his stack of 225,000 and the cards were tabled.

Kalmaz held {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} but Kabrhel turned two pair with {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. The river was the {3-Clubs} and Kahbrel held on to eliminate Kalmaz and add to his stack.

Three Way All In; Lampropulos and Ruiz Win

Level 13 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Players had already opened their cards after two all ins and a call. Viktor Walter was covering the other two players with 320,000 and was all in with {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}, Maria Lamropulos had the second stack with 190,000 holding {a-Spades}{k-Spades} and Sergio Ruiz was the shortest one with 73,000, but was holding the powerful {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}.

The flop came {j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} keeping Ruiz in the lead but the sizable side-pot was leaning towards Walter, who paired his jack.

Lampropulos was in the verge of elimination and needed the last ace of the deck, with the {a-Hearts} making its appearance on the turn to lock the hand for Ruiz, while the side-pot shifted towards Lamropulos.

The {q-Diamonds} on the river kept things as they were on the previous street, and Ruiz tripled up, while Lampropulos showed some profit after picking up the side-pot.

Vrakas Below the Average

Level 13 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Georgios Vrakas had been among the chip leaders for the past two levels but that has suddenly changed.

First he held a bottom set of tens against the flopped nut straight of Faramarz Safari and shortly after he doubled Giorgiy Skhulukhiya.

Skhulukhiya had pushed for 77,000 from the hijack with the {a-Hearts}{10-Spades} and Vrakas reshoved with {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} on the button. The board came {a-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{q-Spades} and that secured the double for Skhulukhiya, the table broke soon after.

Two Short Stacks Battle

Level 13 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Roberto Romanello was one of the short stacks coming back from the break with around 20 big blinds. Romanello shoved all in on the button and was called by another short stack Andreas Heider in the big blind.

Roberto Romanello: {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Andreas Heider: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

It turned out to be a coin flip and Romanello took the lead on the {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} flop. The {4-Hearts} and {4-Diamonds} runout was not going to cut it for Heider as he sent over the majority of his chips.

Peck No More

Level 13 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Vladimir Peck raised to 15,000 in early position and Dario Sammartino flat-called on his left. The rest of the table folded and the two players saw a flop of {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}. Peck checked to Sammartino who bet 10,000 and Peck check-raised all in for 65,000. Sammartino gave it some thought before making the call.

Dario Sammartino: {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Vladimir Peck: {j-Spades}{10-Spades}

Peck had the bottom end of the straight draw and would need to catch a card in order to stay alive. The {q-Hearts} paired the board on the turn and the {4-Clubs} was a brick on the river. Peck was eliminated and Sammartino recovered some of his lost chips.
