Merten Gets There on the River for a Massive Pot

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

We caught the action on the {7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts} with already 40,000 in the middle and four players in the hand.

[Removed:328], Elud Agnon and Adel Kabbani all checked to Thomas Merten in the hijack who bet 13,500.

None of the players in the hand wanted to let it go and we went four-way in the {2-Clubs} turn. It was once more checked to Merten who now fired 35,000 and found only one caller, Adel Kabbani.

The river was the{q-Spades} and Kabbani checked to Merten who quickly checked back.

Kabbani showed his hand {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for a pair of sevens while Merten got saved by the river as he had {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}.
