Wood Short After Capria Double

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

After both players put 50,000 in preflop, Marco Capria was all in for 190,000 on the {5-Spades}{9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} flop.

His opponent Christopher Wood held {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} for trip nines against Capria's {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{7-Spades}

The turn {8-Spades} gave Capria a straight and the {a-Clubs} river bricked and he doubled up.

Mikkel Plum limped in middle position and Arkadiusz Liszewski raised to 110,000. Christopher Wood was all in for 15,000 and Di Giacomo called. Plum also called and the flop was {2-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{k-Spades}

It checked to Liszewski who put in his remaining 40,000 and got two calls.

Plum and Di Giacomo checked the {8-Hearts} turn and {3-Hearts} river and the cards were turned over.

Christopher Wood: {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Arkadiusz Liszewski: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Mikkel Plum: {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts}
Claudio Di Giacomo: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}

Di Giacomo had rivered a six-high straight and eliminated both Wood and Liszewski.

No-Limit Hold'em

Denys Fedorenko and Carter Newhof invested 110,000 in a battle of the blinds and the flop fell {a-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}, on which Fedorenko check-called for 110,000. The {9-Diamonds} turn then brought the last 385,000 of Fedorenko in the middle and he immediately sighed when Newhof tabled his cards.

Denys Fedorenko: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Carter Newhof: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

The {4-Hearts} on the river brought no miracle and Fedorenko departed the tournament area with a "good luck guys."

Newhof was asked "he just called preflop?" and Newhof nodded, then replied "it's going in no matter what."

Sirzat Hissou: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}
Moncef Karoui: {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}
