Covyn Doubles Through Magalashvili

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Michael Magalashvili raised and then called the three-bet pot by Danny Covyn on the button. On the {q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop, Magalashvili checked and reluctantly called the shove by Covyn for the last 51,000.

Danny Covyn: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Michael Magalashvili: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}

The {5-Hearts} turn gave Magalashvili some further outs but the {3-Diamonds} river kept Covyn ahead.

Karoui Chips Up After Bauer Elimination

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Niklas Bauer was all in for 180,000 holding {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} against the {a-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} of Moncef Karoui.

The flop {10-Spades}{6-Clubs}{8-Clubs} gave Karoui a flush draw after Bauer flopped the nut straight. The turn was the {2-Spades} giving him another flush draw, and the river {3-Clubs} saw him make his flush and eliminate Bauer.

Plum Makes One Outer to Best Sitbon

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Mikkel Plum raised from middle position and Julien Sitbon called. Plum bet 20,000 on the {j-}{j-}{10-} flop and SItbon raised to 60,000. Plum called.

The turn was an {a-} and Plum check-called 100,000.

The river was a {9-}. Plum checked and Sitbon tanked for three minutes before checking back. Plum showed {a-}{a-}{k-}{q-} for a full house.

"One outer," said Sitbon, flashing the last {a-} in the deck before mucking.

Down to Four Tables; Liszewski Escapes From Elimination

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

It appears that Moncef Karoui lost a large pot to Ian Bradley and conceded the chip lead.

In the meanwhile, Zhao Feng was eliminated to reduce the field to the final 36 players. Shortly after, another player was at risk and that happened to be Arkadiusz Liszewski in a No-Limit Hold'em hand for the last 124,000.

Arkadiusz Liszewski: {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}
Claudio Di Giacomo: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

The board ran out {a-Spades}{j-Spades}{10-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} and the straight on the board kept Liszewski in the mix.

Chip Counts from Table 94

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Palsgaard Felted by Magalashvili

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Michael Magalashvili opened to 25,000 and then looked up the shove by short stack Jonas Palsgaard for around 80,000.

Jonas Palsgaard: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Michael Magalashvili: {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

Palsgaard asked for two deuces on the board but was instead left drawing dead on the {7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} turn to make the {8-Clubs} river a formality.

Nguyen Eliminated by Wood

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Linda Nguyen
Linda Nguyen

No-Limit Hold'em

During the break, the dealer had predicted Linda Nguyen would double or triple up in the second. Nothing happened in the first hand thereafter and she then jammed for 84,000 in the second hand. Christopher Wood in the big blind asked for a count and reluctantly called.

Linda Nguyen: {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Christopher Wood: {a-Hearts}{3-Spades}

The two live cards whiffed the {k-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades} board and Nguyen bowed out in 35th place.

Liszewski More Than Doubles

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Three ways to the {a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{q-Clubs} turn, Sirzat Hissou checked in the small blind and Shawn Stroke bet 80,000 from an early position. Arkadiusz Liszewski called on the button and Stroke then moved all-in blind after admitting he was not going to fold anymore.

The {9-Hearts} river completed the board and Liszewski called all-in for 30,000.

"Do you have eight seven?" Stroke asked and Liszewski nodded, flipping over the {9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}. Stroke's {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{10-Spades} for the top two pair were no good and Liszewski doubled.
