Daniel Petri Eliminated in 24th Place (€35,709)

Level 23 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Daniel Petri
Daniel Petri

The action kicked off with a min-raise by Johan Guilbert and he was called three ways to see a flop of {8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs}. It checked to Guilbert who bet 50,000 and Guillaume Diaz raised to 250,000.

Daniel Petri then raised it up to 750,000 to force out everyone but Diaz. The Frenchman clicked it up to 1,825,000 and without any hesitation, Petri jammed for what appeared to be 3,600,000 in order to get snap-called by Diaz.

Daniel Petri: {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Guillaume Diaz: {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}

The {k-Diamonds} turn changed nothing and the {2-Spades} river only improved Diaz to eights full. Petri was eliminated in 24th place for €35,709 in the last hand before the final 24 players were supposed to redraw to the final three tables.

Werner Flushed Away by Fritsche

Level 23 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Bernd Werner
Bernd Werner

After forfeiting a pot against Tolga Karakaya, Bernd Werner three-bet jammed out of the small blind when facing a button raise to 105,000 by Peter Fritsche. Without asking for a count and just staring at the stack of his table neighbour, Fritsche called.

Bernd Werner: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Peter Fritsche: {q-Spades}{j-Hearts}

The {4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{10-Hearts} board gave Fritsche the flush and Werner was eliminated in 25th place.

Nedelcu Shoves on the River

Level 23 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Narcis Nedelcu opened from under the gun to 100,000 with Jacek Kaczmarek and Josef Gulas Jr calling from the blinds.

The flop came {10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and after the check from Kaczmarek, Gulas led for 50,000 before Nedelcu made it 175,000.

Both players called. The turn was the {3-Spades} and all three players checked.

The river was the {4-Clubs} and Kaczmarek checked. Gulas bet 300,000 and Nedelcu shoved all-in for 1,050,000.

Gulas took around three minutes before he finally let it go.

Turn Bet Wins It for Kuzmanovic

Level 23 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Boris Kuzmanovic raised to 100,000 from under the gun and was called by Brian Kamphorst in the small blind and Yossi Dayan in the big blind. The {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} flop was checked to Kuzmanovic and he bet 125,000. Only Kamphorst came along and then check-folded the {k-Diamonds} turn when Kuzmanovic fired a second bet worth 225,000.

Gulas Jr Doubles Through Nedelcu

Level 22 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Josef Gulas Jr raised from under the gun and was called by Narcis Nedelcu. The continuation bet on the {q-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Spades} flop followed and they got it in after the {6-Clubs} turn with Gulas Jr as the player at risk.

Josef Gulas Jr: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Narcis Nedelcu: {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}

The {9-Spades} river was a blank and Gulas Jr doubled for 910,000.

Gleissner Doubles Through Guilbert

Level 22 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Johan Guilbert raised it up and then called the shove by Bernd Gleissner for 365,000 in the small blind.

Bernd Gleissner: {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Johan Guilbert: {a-Spades}{9-Hearts}

The kicker played on the {10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} board as Gleissner prevailed despite a brief additional sweat.

Tantillo Falls to Guilbert

Level 22 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Fausto Tantillo
Fausto Tantillo

Fausto Tantillo moved-in for 1,000,000 after Johan Guilbert's opening bet, the Frenchman snapped him off and turned their hands over.

Fausto Tantillo: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Johan Guilbert: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

Guilbert before the hand said "he was running good," and that proved true after his queens held on the {8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{6-Spades} runout.
