Bogdanov Sucks Out to Eliminate Bohdanov and Maugini

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Yulian Bogdanov
Yulian Bogdanov

Vittorio Maugini open-jammed his last 105,000 chips from the cutoff before Renat Bohdanov made it 200,000 to go from the button. Yulian Bogdanov then four-bet to 1,000,000 and the action folded back to Bohdanov, who went all in for 1,305,00.

Bogdanov made the call and all cards were tabled.

Vittorio Maugini: K5
Renat Bohdanov: 1010
Yulian Bogdanov: 99

It was a great spot for Bohdanov, but Bogdanov hit a set on 892. The 4 gave no additional outs for Bohdanov, and the J river did not bring a ten either.

Maugini was eliminated in 72nd place, while Bohdanov received a payjump to €22,150 for finishing in 71st.

Amsellem Hits the Flop to Crush Verhoef

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Jacob Amsellem
Jacob Amsellem

Miroslav Salaj raised to 55,000 in early position and Christian Rudolph and Jacob Amsellem both called. Leon Verhoef then moved all in for 550,000 in the small blind.

Salaj tanked for a minute before picking up his cards and slamming them down in the muck. Rudolph quickly folded, but Amsellem called.

Leon Verhoef: 88
Jacob Amsellem: K10

The 1039 flop gave Amsellem the lead with a pair of tens, and Verhoef couldn't catch up on the 6 turn or 9 river and was sent to the rail.

Dato and Rezaei Depart in Quick Succession

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Armin Rezaei Daniel Rezaei

Andrea Dato had carefully waited for a spot to get his chips in only to find his premium hand in pocket jacks dominated. Aliaksandr Shylko had the KK and remained ahead all the way on the A43A6 board.

Daniel Rezaei was next to fall. Having previously lost a showdown pot to Jonathan Pastore, he was in there for the last eight big blinds with pocket sixes. Eusebiu Jalba took the flop with the AK and spiked one of the overcards on the K97Q2 runout.

Petkov Doubles in Four-Way Pot

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Lachezar Petkov
Lachezar Petkov

Christian Rudolph had opened from under the gun and Jacob Amsellem made the call from the next seat over. Lachezar Petkov then joined in from the small blind, as did Miroslav Salaj from the big blind.

The quartet saw a flop of Q95, which got checked to Amsellem. He opted to bet 125,000, after which Petkov made it 350,000 to go. Petkov and Rudolph got out of the way before Amsellem went all in, covering the 885,000 chips in Petkov's stack.

Petkov snap called and the cards went open.

Lachezar Petkov: 99
Jacob Amsellem: 62

Amsellem's flush draw would be no good once Petkov's set became a full house on the 5 turn. The 8 river was meaningless, and Petkov overtook Amsellem in the chip counts by doubling up.

Sturm Storms Off

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Leon Sturm
Leon Sturm

Leon Sturm got all of his 650,000 chips in from the button against Alex Keating in the big blind. Keating had the covering stack when the cards were flipped over.

Leon Sturm: KK
Alex Keating: AQ

The flop remained safe for Sturm with 9J6 appearing, but the A turn spelled disaster for him. He could not hit a king on the 4 river and was consequently eliminated from the Main Event.

Keating apologized but Sturm told him there was no need, before swiftly departing.

Andrea Radicchi
Andrea Radicchi

Heads-up on a board of 71037, Andrea Radicchi bet 315,000 from under the gun and Alexander Tkatschew called in middle position.

The river came the 3 and Radicchi bet another 335,000. Tkatschew then moved all in for 935,000.

Radicchi tanked for more than five minutes until he put in the chips to call. Tkatschew then turned over A10 for two pair and Radicchi slammed down JJ and shot out of his seat to give out a big fist pump as he sent Tkatschew to the rail.

Miguel Martinez
Miguel Martinez

Miguel Martinez moved all in for 375,000 from the small blind and Yulian Bogdanov called on the button.

Miguel Martinez: A3
Yulian Bogdanov: KQ

Martinez was ahead until the 4K6 flop gave Bogdanov top pair. Bogdanov improved to two pair on the Q turn and Martinez was already drawing dead and wishing his tablemates good luck before the 6 fell on the river.

Desset Gets Huge Bluff Through

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Andrej Desset
Andrej Desset

Eusebiu Jalba and Andrej Desset were heads up on the turn on 103A5. Jalba checked and Desset made a 140,000 bet in the pot of 175,000.

Desset made the call and the K river brought the fourth club on the board. Jalba checked once more before Desset shoved his 685,000 stack towards the middle. This bet covered Jalba by the smallest margin, and it brought him much despair.

Jalba tanked for minutes until eventually the clock was called. Before the end of his countdown, he verbally declared a fold. The players then agreed to show each other their cards.

Desset tabled 66 for a stone-cold bluff and Jalba slammed the table while he showed he had been thinking about calling with AxKx for top two pair.

Bogdanov Bad Beats Gicovanu; Alexandridis Gets Short

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Marius Gicovanu
Marius Gicovanu

In the final hand before the break, Alex Keating in the small blind check-called the A32K turn and then called when Symeon Alexandridis bet 140,000 from an early position.

The 10 river was checked which Keating verified before he announced "I have an ace" and revealed the A6. Alexandridis sighed and tossed his cards into the muck.

At the same time on a different table, Yulian Bogdanov raised to 50,000 and then called a three-bet shove for around 675,000 by Marius Gicovanu within a few seconds.

Marius Gicovanu: JJ
Yulian Bogdanov: 77

The big stack was behind and didn't connect on the KQ5 flop or 2 turn. However, the 7 fell on the river and Gicovanu bowed out with a bad beat story to tell.

Saliba Waits For the Clock

Level 21 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Vivian Saliba
Vivian Saliba

Vivian Saliba raised to 400,000 under the gun, leaving herself around 50,000 back, and Eusebiu Jalba moved all in from early position.

"Pay jump. One minute," Saliba said as she looked up at the tournament clock. Another 30 seconds went by before Adrian Mateos called the clock. Saliba waited for the timer to reach a few seconds before calling.

Vivian Saliba: AK
Eusebiu Jalba: 1010

The two players were racing, but Jalba took a big lead on the 9410 flop with top set. The 4 turn improved him to a full house and left Saliba drawing dead by the 8 river and heading for the exit.
