Bogdanov Stays in Atac Mode

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Salih Atac
Salih Atac

Salih Atac raised it up to 50,000 in the cutoff and big stack Yulian Bogdanov three-bet to 185,000 in the small blind. The four-bet shove by Atac for around 950,000 followed and Bogdanov instantly called.

Salih Atac: A5
Yulian Bogdanov: AK

"Oh shit," Atac gasped when he saw his move in dire shape. The Swiss picked up a flush draw on the J73 flop and gutshot on the 6 turn. However, neither of the outs came on a blank Q river and that sent Atac to the payout desk in 65th place.

Hallay Gets Some Chips Back

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Former chipleader Axel Hallay limped in from the small blind and Vito Vella checked his option in the big blind. The 98Q flop was then bet by Hallay for 25,000 chips and Vella made the call.

The 8 turn checked through before Hallay put in 45,000 chips on the 10 river. A quick fold followed from Vella, leading to the small pot being sent Hallay's way.

A Sudden Flurry of Eliminations

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

When the action was caught, the pot had already been rewarded, but Kiryl Kyrliuk was left with no chips when his AJ could not win against AK on 8KAA2.

One hand later on the same table, Michael Rocco opened from under the gun before Stoyan Madanzhiev three-bet jammed his last 250,000 in the middle from the hijack. The action folded back to Rocco, who put in the call.

Stoyan Madanzhiev: AJ
Michael Rocco: JJ

Madanzhiev flopped a flush draw on 439, but neither that nor his ace would come in on the 105 runout, and he was also eliminated.

Meanwhile, Jens Lakemeier walked away from his table as he had also lost a preflop all-in.

Mateos Jams Into Rezaei; Kuru Uses One Time

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Serkan Kuru was all-in for 520,000 preflop and once he found himself at risk and dominated by Francisco Benitez, he joked "I think I gonna use my one time".

Serkan Kuru: QQ
Francisco Benitez: KK

Kuru was in rough shape and things got even worse on the AK3 flop, as he needed running cards to avoid elimination. One of them came with the 10 turn and the J river completed an unlikely straight for the miracle escape.

At the same time one table over, Daniel Rezaei was deep in the tank. He had check-called a bet of 60,000 by Adrian Mateos on the 953 flop and 175,000 on the Q turn. The Q river was checked by Rezaei once more and Mateos jammed for 645,000.

Rezaei was covered by that and tank-folded after several minutes.

Kamphues Survives a Race

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Leon Sturm raised to 40,000 on the button, then called when Lars Kamphues moved all in for 200,000 in the big blind.

Lars Kamphues: JJ
Leon Sturm: KQ

It was a race situation with Kamphues' tournament life at stake, and he remained in front on the A53 flop. The rest of the board came 810 and he secured a double up.
