Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Raoul Refos
Raoul Refos

Raoul Refos open-shoved from early position for roughly 450,000 and Akin Tuna called from the button with slightly less than that. The blinds got out of the way and a showdown was had.

Akin Tuna: 99
Raoul Refos: A10

Refos flopped a pair on 10Q5 to take the lead. The 6 turn changed nothing, nor did the 4 river.

Tuna was eliminated from the Main Event while Refos started to approach an average stack.

Amsellem Gets Paid by Lakemeier; Hallay Drops Some More

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Jens Lakemeier and Jacob Amsellem were. heads-up on a board of J210KQ and already around 700,000 in the pot when Amsellem bet 335,000 from the cutoff.

Lakemeier called and Amsellem turned over 42 for a rivered flush. Lakemeier flung AQ across the table as Amsellem took the massive pot.

At the same time at another table, Ioannis Angelou-Konstas bet enough to put Axel Hallay all in on a board of 5A6K9. Hallay, with around 350,000 remaining, again tanked for several minutes until Dario Sammartino called the clock.

Hallay allowed the timer to reach zero before his hand was declared dead. "Did you have an ace," Angelou-Konstas asked.

"Of course," Hallay replied.

Andras Nemeth opened to 40,000 from under the gun and Alex Keating three-bet to 125,000 in the next seat. Stephen Chidwick then cold four-bet to 295,000 in the small blind, forcing out Nemeth and earning a call from Chidwick.

What followed was a staring contest on the KJ10 flop and 4 turn, both of which were eventually checked through. Chidwick bet the 6 river for 120,000 and Keating called but mucked to the AK of the Brit.

Not a single word was spoken during the hand, Keating then said "nice hand ... would you call off if I shove pre?" but received no answer.
