Svoboda Busts; Shylko Doubles

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Petr Svoboda
Petr Svoboda

Petr Svoboda defended his big blind against an open raise by Davidi Kitai and checked the 877 flop. Kitai continued for 30,000 only to then face a check-raise to 115,000 by Svoboda. Within just a few seconds, Kitai moved forward a stack of T-25,000 chips and Svoboda called all-in for around 375,000.

Petr Svoboda: 107
Davidi Kitai: A9

The 6 turn instantly improved Kitai to the nut flush and the 9 river was of no help anymore to the local poker pro.

Moments later, Aliaksandr Shylko was all-in with a short stack and tabled the A5. Salih Atac was ahead with JJ but the 10103A10 runout gave Shylko a superior full house.

Kamphues Grows Stack by Eliminating Bilan

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Florin Bilan was already all in from early position when the K73 flop was dealt. Both Timo Kamphues in the small blind and Jacob Amsellem in the big blind, who had each called the all-in to create a 425,000 pot, then checked and the 7 turn was dealt.

Kamphues then made a bet of 110,000 and Amsellem quickly escaped the pot by mucking his hand.

Florin Bilan: A10
Timo Kamphues: KQ

Bilan needed to hit an ace on the river, but failed to do so when the 2 was put on the felt instead. He took his leave as Kamphues passed Amsellem in the counts.

Heads-up on a board of 9A5J, Stefan Hulin bet 80,000 from middle position before Vivian Saliba raised to 180,000 in the big blind.

Hulin called and the 5 fell on the river. Saliba then moved all in for 575,000, sending Hulin deep into the tank.

"Ace-five? Nines," he asked Saliba, who remained silent until she called the clock after several minutes had gone by. Hulin allowed the countdown nearly to reach zero before he called.

Saliba turned over AJ for two pair, while Hulin also showed AJ as they chopped the pot.

Michael Armstrong
Michael Armstrong

Alf Martinsson raised from the hijack and was called by Michael Armstrong on the button, Alexander Tkatschew also came along in the big blnd as well. The Q33 flop was checked to Armstrong, who continued for 55,000. Tkatschew got out of the way but Martinsson called.

That led the duo to the 5 turn on which Martinsson check-called for another 90,000. The 10 river was checked by the Swede once more and Armstrong pushed all-in. No count was asked upon as Martinsson snap-called.

Already knowing his fate, Armstrong flipped over the KJ for a king-high bluff and Martinsson dealt the final blow with the AA.

"It was fun," the Canadian said on his way out of the tournament area.
