Straight to the Exit: Sarnow's Misadventure

Level 24 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Florian Sarnow
Florian Sarnow

Florian Sarnow could never have predicted how this hand would unfold. The action kicked off when Thomas Eychenne raised to 120,000 from under the gun, and Sarnow called from the small blind.

When the flop revealed 3K10, Sarnow check-called Eychenne's bet of 120,000, eager to see what would come next. The turn brought the 9, and both players opted to check.

As the river turned up J, Sarnow seized the initiative, leading out with a bet of 175,000. After some deliberation, Eychenne responded by shoving all in,leaving Sarnow to weigh his options. Taking his time, Sarnow ultimately made the call, revealing Q10 for a straight. However, Eychenne had him beat with AQ, boasting the superior straight. With that, Sarnow was sent packing, the hand ending in a surprising twist.

Duta Fills Up to Bust Bartholomes; El Yaacoubi Picks Up Aces

Level 24 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Florian Duta
Florian Duta

Julian Bartholmes raised to 125,000 in the cutoff before Florian Duta three-bet to 390,000 in the big blind. Bartholmes moved all in and Duta snap-called.

Julian Bartholmes: A5 All in
Florian Duta: JJ

Bartholmes pleaded for an ace heading to the flop, but none came as Duta hit a set on KJ10. The 10 turn improved Duta to a full house, while the 10 completed the board on the river. The stacks were counted down and Duta had 1,700,000 to Bartholmes' 1,500,000, sending Bartholmes to the rail.

At another table, Bjoern Zrenner raised to 150,000 in the cutoff and Rachid El Yaacoubi moved all in for 1,100,000 on the button. Frederic Marechal reshoved in the big blind and Zrenner folded.

Rachid El Yaacoubi: AA All in
Frederic Marechal: 1010

"I folded tens," Zrenner said, revealing that Marechal had no more in the deck in order to overcome El Yaacoubi's aces. The KJ79 board did give him a straight draw heading to the river, but he missed the 9 and El Yaacoubi doubled up.

Dini's Hero Call Goes Horribly Wrong

Level 23 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

In a blind-versus-blind battle, Luigi Pignataro bet 50,000 on a flop of 10K10 and Besmir Dini raised to 105,000 in the big blind. Pignataro called and the 7 fell on the turn.

Dini then bet another 105,000, Pignataro raised to 555,000, and Dini called. The river was the Q and Pignataro bet 1,000,000, enough to put Dini all in.

Dini had around 400,000 remaining and tanked for several minutes before calling. Pignataro turned over 102 for trips and Dini mucked as he headed for the exit. The dealer retrieved 76 before pushing the pot to Pignataro.

At another table, Francesco Delfoco was all in for 750,000 from the small blind and up against Metodi Peychev in the big blind.

Delfoco found himself dominated as both players ended up hitting their ace on the 4J69A board, but Peychev's queen-kicker continued to play to send Delfoco to the rail.

El Yaacoubi’s Eights Hold Strong, Sending Schenk to the Rail

Level 22 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Lina Schenk kicked off the action with a raise to 80,000 from the button, only to be met with an all-in shove from Rachid El Yaacoubi in the big blind, who had her well-covered. Without hesitation, Schenk made the call, and the two prepared for a showdown.

Lina Schenk: AKAll in
Rachid El Yaacoubi: 88

In this classic flip situation, Schenk was hoping for some help from the board. Unfortunately for her, the dealer revealed 24797, offering no improvement to her hand. With that, Schenk’s tournament run came to an abrupt end as she was sent to the rail, while El Yaacoubi’s pocket eights held strong.

Bielen’s Straight Sends Strebel Packing, Ghashayar Folds Aces

Level 22 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Georg Strebel
Georg Strebel

Bob Bielen kicked off the action with an under the gun raise to 80,000, followed by Iman Ghashayar in middle position, who responded with a three-bet to 240,000. Georg Strebel, down to his last 55,000, decided to shove all in. The action returned to Bielen, who called Ghashayar's three-bet, and the three went to the flop.

The dealer revealed J910, but both Bielen and Ghashayar opted to check, carrying their cautious play through the K turn as well.

When the 5 hit the river, Bielen broke the silence with a bet of 215,000. Ghashayar thought it over for a while but unwillingly folded his AAx, disappointed by the missed opportunity. Bielen then revealed QQ, showing a straight, sending Strebel to the rail with his 5x4x.
