The players have been sent on a 40-minute dinner break, with play due to resume at approximately 4:47 p.m. local time.
Karlen Aladzjan moved all in for 72,000 in the cutoff and Elia Salerno called on the button, as did Darius Neagoe in the big blind. Salerno bet 125,000 on the Q♥9♦3♥ flop, and Neagoe quickly folded.
Karlen Aladzjan: J♥10♥
Elia Salerno: A♦A♠
Salerno showed down two aces, while Aladzjan was on a straight draw. The Q♠ turn was no help to Aladzjan, but he hit the K♣ on the river to triple up as Salerno shook his head in disgust while the pot was pushed to Aladzjan.
Georgios Tsouloftas raised to 32,000 in the cutoff before Yehonatan Behor three-bet to 133,000 in the small blind. Tsouloftas then four-bet to 235,000, and Behor called.
The flop came Q♥2♦Q♣ and Tsouloftas slid forward a tower of chips for a bet of 100,000. Behor snap-folded and Tsouloftas added to his massive stack.
Urmo Velvelt opened to 32,000 from early position, and received calls from Kevin Fluegel and Ghattas Kortas in the blinds.
On the J♥7♦3♠ flop, Fluegel led out with a bet of 40,000, which only Kortas called.
The A♠ hit on them turn, and Fluegel slowed down, check-calling in the face of a bet of 116,000 from Kortas.
The 5♣ hit on the river, and Fluegel checked once more. Kortas moved all in for 332,000, and Fluegel asked for a count, and went into the tank.
After around two minutes of thought, Fluegel folded, and Kortas let out a loud exhalation of breath as he blew out his cheeks.
"Show the bluff" requested a table mate, and Kortas obliged by tabling 10♥8♣ for the missed gutshot.
"I always chicken out", said Kortas, "I told myself, 'Not f*cking this time'", he continued, as he raked in the pot.
Three players saw a flop of 8♥7♥3♦ when Michal Kovac bet 26,000 from the small blind. Luigi Giannicola then raised to 110,000 under the gun, and Antonio Fragale moved all in from middle position. Kovac folded, but Giannicola quickly called.
Luigi Giannicola: 7♣3♠
Antonio Fragale: 8♦7♦
"Come on!" Fragale said when he found out his two pair had Giannicola's beat. The 8♣ turn improved him to a full house, while the 6♦ river secured him the pot.
The stacks were counted down and Fragale had 750,000 remaining. Giannicola was barely covered and sent to the rail.
A chunky pot of 154,000 had developed by the turn on a board of Q♥4♠2♣4♣, in a hand between Urmo Velvelt in the hijack and Kevin Fluegel in the big blind.
Fluegel fired out a bet of 75,000, and after a bit of time in the tank, Velvelt folded.
Antonio Fragale had been excited to snatch a €5,000 Mystery Bounty a few minutes ago and then got it in preflop against Marcel Grubinger, who jammed into two limps.
Marcel Grubinger: K♦K♣
Antonio Fragale: K♥Q♦
The Q♣10♦3♣ flop gave Fragale top pair and he spiked the Q♥ turn for trips to leave Grubinger with a single out. No miracle followed on the 5♠ river and that spelled the end for Gruginger, while Fragale had more reason to celebrate.
