Last Pot Before the Break for Karlic

Level 30 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Gerald Karlic made it 500,000 to go with the QQ and Catalin Pop defended the suited J8 out of his big blind, both players check the 10102 flop. The K turn gave Pop a flush draw and he checked, Karlic checked back once again.

Neither player improved with the 3 river and Pop checked again, Karlic now bet 775,000 and his opponent flashed the missed flush draw before the players headed into the first 15-minute break.

Jaatinen Takes Another Pot Without Showdown

Level 30 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Teemu Jaatinen in the cutoff raised to 2,200,000 for more than half of his stack with the KQ. Claudio Di Giacomo on the button let go of KQ after using three time banks and carefully studying the stack of his table neighbour. Daniel Pidun folded the K8 and Murilo Garcia had no business with 64 either.

Pidun Takes Round Three With Neugebauer

Level 30 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Max Neugebauer raised to 525,000 in the hijack and Daniel Pidun called in the big blind.

"Round three. Do you think we'll make it to 12?" Neugebauer joked as they went to a flop of 1084.

"I hope this is the last one," Pidun replied. Neugebauer then bet 450,000 and Pidun called.

Both players checked the J turn, and Pidun led out for 650,000 on the 7 river. Neugebauer folded top pair holding Q10, and Pidun took the pot with 75.

Pidun Calls Neugebauer With Ace-High

Level 30 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Max Neugebauer raised to 525,000 under the gun and Daniel Pidun called on the button.

Action was checked to the river on a board of 874K2. Neugebauer then bet 600,000, and Pidun quickly called.

Neugebauer showed QJ, but Pidun had AQ and won the pot with ace-high.

Neugebauer got some of those chips back the next hand when Pidun raised to 525,000 in the cutoff and Neugebauer called in the big blind.

Pidun bet 350,000 on the K97 flop and Neugebauer called. They then checked down the 8 turn and J river, and Neugebauer showed K4 for top pair. Pidun mucked 75.

"Somebody else needs to win this tournament. It's not good for poker," Catalin Pop said.

"It's good for me," Neugebauer replied.

Jaatinen All But Jams Preflop

Gerald Karlic raised to 500,000 in the cutoff with the K10 and Teemu Jaatinen three-bet the button to 1,700,000 with 800,000 behind holding the A10. Claudio Di Giacomo tank-folded the KQ in the small blind and Karlic came to the same conclusion.

Murilo Garcia raised to 525,000 from under the gun and Catalin Pop folded the 88 thereafter. Matthias Gude then jammed in the cutoff for the last 2,875,000 after using one time bank and Garcia snap-called when it was his turn to act.

Teemu Jaatinen raised to 525,000 in early position before Daniel Pidun three-bet to 1,800,000 in the hijack with AK. Jaatinen folded AQ.

Pidun then raised to 525,000 in early position with AJ and Jaatinen called in the big blind. The flop came 1052 and Pidun bet 375,000. Jaatinen folded 98.

The next hand, Pidun picked up 1010 and raised to 525,000 under the gun, but this time took down the blinds and ante.

The flop came K87 and Pidun bet 350,000. Garcia called and both players checked the J turn.

Garcia also checked the J river, Pidun bet 850,000, and Garcia snap-called. Pidun showed AQ for ace-high, while Garcia had KQ for two pair to win the pot.
