Goeller and Wyrzykiewicz Chip Up

The completed board showed 97356 and Michael Dick had checked already, then faced a bet of 15,500 by Andreas Goeller one seat over on the other side of the dealer. Dick reluctantly called and sighed when he was shown the 108 by Goeller.

Remi Wyrzykiewicz then opened with a raise and Asaf Berman three-bet to 2,300, Wyrzykiewicz called. On the KJ8 flop, Wyrzykiewicz check-called for the same 2,300 before they checked down the 9 turn.

Wyrzykiewicz also checked the A on the river and Berman took one last stab at the pot with a bet of 4,300. The call by Wyrzykiewicz followed and Berman tossed his cards into the muck.

Expensive Misclick for Krnac

Level 2 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Five ways to the 77710 turn, Jan Krnac bet 6,000 and was called only by Andrea Radicchi in the next seat. Both players checked the Q on the river and Krnac tabled his 108 for tens full of sevens.

Radicchi had that beat with the Q10 and claimed the pot.

"It was a mistake, I meant one thousand five hundred ... expensive missclick," Krnac said in table chat.

Maccatrozzo Gets Some Value From Peixoto

Four ways with 1,500 each on the 1053 flop each, the action on the 4 turn was checked to Devin Dayan and Carlos Peixoto bet 5,000 out of turn, then apologised. Dayan checked and Peixoto's bet stood, which was called only by Luca Maccatrozzo thereafter.

Peixoto checked the 4 on the river before calling a bet of 7,800 and Maccatrozzo tabled the 64 for trips fours as the winning hand.

Krnac Fills Up Against Goertz

Heads-up on a flop of 748, Klaus Goertz bet 2,000 from the cutoff and Jan Krnac raised to 5,000 in the big blind. Goertz called.

Both players checked the 7 turn. Krnac then led out for 8,000 on the 3 river, and Goertz called. Krnac showed 87 for a full house, and Goertz mucked.

Garcia Coolers Reynolds

Four players saw a flop of 7J9 when Scott Reynolds bet 1,600 from early position. Murilo Garcia called in the cutoff, as did Andreas Goeller in the small blind.

Action checked to Garcia on the J turn and he bet 5,100. Only Reynolds called and the 2 fell on the river.

Reynolds then led out for 12,500, and Garcia snap-called. Reynolds showed QJ for trips, but Garcia had [KhJh and took the pot with his king-kicker.

Wilson Chops With Berman

Level 2 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Andreas Goeller limped from under the gun and Simon Wilson then raised to 1,600. Asaf Berman three-bet to 3,200 and Goeller called, as did Wilson. On the KJ8 flop, Goeller check-folded while Wilson check-called for 3,200.

Both then checked the A turn and 10 river for Wilson to announce a king and show the K5. Berman had the equally strong K3 and they split the pot.

"I think neither of us expected to win," Wilson joked.

Pazma Near the Starting Stack Again

In a single-raised pot to the AJ7 flop, Naveen Sama checked from the big blind and then called a bet of 1,500 by Lukas Pazma. They checked the K turn and J river for Sama to briefly expose his cards including the 8.

The dealer announced nine-high and Pazma won the pot with the Q9.

Banic Bets Big Against Hennen

Level 2 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Rutger Hennen bet 1,000 from the button on a flop of 7Q4 and Ivan Banic raised to 3,000 in the big blind. Hennen called and they saw the 3 fall on the turn.

Banic then bet 6,000 and Hennen called. The river was the 3 and Banic bet another 19,000. Hennen took a minute, but this time he gave up his hand and Banic took the pot.

Nicholls Calls Down Radicchi

Level 2 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Heads-up on a board of 3AQ9, Andrea Radicchi bet 7,500 from middle position and Kai Nicholls called in the hijack.

The river was the 10 and Radicchi bet another 7,500. Nicholls again called and Radicchi showed AK for top pair, but Nicholls had Q9 for two pair to win the pot.

Day 1b Grows Albeit Slowly

Mid-way through the second level of the day, the tournament screens show 41 entries with 40 players remaining and four players entered recently. Simon Wilson had no luck on Day 1a but joined the action once more for the second flight. He is joined in the field by Tzur Levy, Luigi Curcio and Artem Kobylynskyi.
