Orta Makes a Big Open

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Dursun Orta made a big open from the hijack to 11,000 and Iago Savino called in the big blind.

On the JQ9 flop, Savino check-called a bet of 17,000 from Orta to the 7 turn, where both quickly checked.

On the 7 river, Savino threw out 10,000, and Orta quickly folded ace-king face up. Savino was kind enough to show that he had the best hand as he flashed a Q before he mucked.

Bastian Dohler

Bastian Dohler bet 15,000 from the big blind on a flop of 9Q2 and Campbell Ashton called in middle position.

The turn was the A and Dohler checked to Ashton who moved all in for 45,000. Dohler took a minute before calling with QJ, while Ashton had KJ for straight and flush draws.

The Q improved Dohler to trips, and Ashton was sent to the rail.

At another table, Aiguo Xu was all in for his last 30,000 from the hijack and up against Deniz Dogan on the button.

Aiguo Xu: Q10 All in
Deniz Dogan: AK

The Q10J flop gave Xu two pair but Dogan a straight as Xu, despite the perilousness of his situation, burst out laughing along with tablemate Renji Mao. He needed to improve on the turn or river, but he missed the K and 5 and was sent to the rail.
