Straight over Straight for Spoddig

Level 13 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Carlos Spoddig
Carlos Spoddig

Around 60,000 was in the middle, on a completed board of 108567, in a hand between Georgios Zisimopoulos in middle position, Carlos Spoddig on the button, and Luigi Pignataro in the small blind.

Action was checked to Zisimopoulos , who fired out a bet of 24,000. Spoddig jammed for 108,000, and Pignataro called, which convinced Zisimopoulos to fold.

Pignataro confidently tabled 98 for the ten-high straight, but Spoddig had him pipped with J9 for the jack-high straight.

Level 13 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Heads-up on a flop of J97, Josef Gulas bet 15,000 from early position and Kestutis Jungevicius called on the button.

The turn was the 6 and Gulas bet another 35,000. Jungevicius again called, and they both checked the 7 river.

Gulas showed KQ, while Jungevicius had 65 for two pair as Gulas gave him a quzzicial look while handing over the pot.

Mendez Drills the River to Survive

Level 13 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Jeannette Mendez
Jeannette Mendez

Jeannette Mendez got her stack of 68,000 into the middle from the button, with Michele Tocci being the player trying to eliminate her from the small blind.

Jeannette Mendez: A5 All in
Michele Tocci: 77

Tocci's pocket sevens were ahead, but Mendez had an ace or some hearts she could hit to survive.

A flop of J5Q gave Mendez a pair and the J on the turn offered up some counterfeit outs. The dealer burned a card and produced the 5 on the river to give Mendez a boat, and she doubled up.

Level 13 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Max Kruse
Max Kruse

Max Kruse came in with a raise to 10,000 from the hijack, only for Stanislav Koleno to three-bet to 25,000 from the cutoff. Lukas Pazma cold-called out of the big blind, and Kruse also called after putting on his sunglasses.

The action checked to Koleno on the 977 flop, and he fired out a bet of 15,000. Pazma and Kruse called.

All three players checked the 7 turn to see the 10 complete the board. Pazma led out for 60,000, causing Kruse and Koleno to fold.

Radicchi Spikes the Turn to Double Off Banic

Level 13 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Andrea Radicchi
Andrea Radicchi

Andrea Radicchi bet 9,000 from the button on a flop of Q106 before Ivan Banic raised to 28,000 in the big blind. Radicchi then moved all in for 115,000, and Banic called.

Andrea Radicchi: AK All in
Ivan Banic: Q10

Banic had flopped two pair, while Radicchi was on a straight draw. The J turn gave Radicchi his straight and left Banic needing to fill up on the river to score the knockout, but he missed the 4 and Radicchi doubled up.

Banic Flushes Out Yilmaz

Level 13 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

In a preflop all-in, Ertan Yilmaz had the best of it with JJ against the 1010 of Ivan Banic. The KJ4 flop gave Yilmaz a set of jacks but Banic increased his outs with the club flush draw. Nothing changed on the 3 turn but the 2 river sealed his fate in cruel fashion.

Jan Nijmeijer
Jan Nijmeijer

Viet Vo was spotted on his way out of the tournament area, and he was soon followed to the rail by Mikolaj Zawadzki. Responsible for both eliminations was Jan-Willem Nijmeijer, who both times had picked up pocket queens.

In the second hand, Nijmeijer three-bet and then looked up Zawadzki in a classic race.

Mikolaj Zawadzki: AK All in
Jan-Willem Nijmeijer: QQ

The pocket pair remained ahead all the way on the J833J board.

Loeser Good at Showdown

Level 13 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Manig Loeser
Manig Loeser

Sebastian Kotowicz opened to 10,000 from the button, and Manig Loeser defended the big blind.

The 1095 flop was checked to the 9 turn, where Loeser led out with a bet of 10,000, which failed to shake off his opponent.

The 9 river was knuckled by both parties, and Kotowicz mucked when Loeser tabled 65 for the full house.
