Manolakis Doubles With a Set

Level 13 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Michail Manolakis
Michail Manolakis

With around 30,000 in the middle on a 9510 board, Michail Manolakis had his remaining 92,000 in the middle from the hijack and was put at risk by Peter Cieslik from middle position.

Michail Manolakis: 99 All in
Peter Cieslik: K6

Manolakis had a set and just needed to fade the flush draw of Cieslik. A K on the turn gave Cieslik top pair, but it didn't change the fact that he required a heart. Another improvement came for Cieslik on the 6 river, but two pair doesn't beat a set, which meant he had to send chips over to Manolakis.

Bussmann Survives on the River

Level 13 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Daniel Bussmann
Daniel Bussmann

Tzur Levy had just picked up two queens to double up off Michael Sklenicka when he opened to 11,000 under the gun the next hand. Sklenicka called on the button, while Daniel Bussmann then moved all in for 100,000 in the small blind. Only Levy called.

Daniel Bussmann: AK All in
Tzur Levy: QQ

Levy had found queens for a second straight hand and was in a classic flip with Bussmann going to the flop, which came QJ8 to give him top set. The 5 turn left Bussmann a card from elimination, but he spiked the 10 on the river to make a straight and double up.

"I was thinking ten of diamonds on the river," Sklenicka said.

"It comes for him, not for you," Levy replied.

Level 13 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Viorel Gavrila opened to 10,000 from the hijack, and called a three-bet to 26,000 from Elia Salerno in the cutoff.

On the K109 flop, Gavrila check-folded without ceremony versus a continuation bet of 17,000 from Salerno.

Vandyshev Pays to See Spataru's Cards...Literally

Level 13 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Andrei Spataru
Andrei Spataru

A pot of over 400,000 had been built on a board of 9778J between Aleksei Vandyshev in the hijack and Andrei Spataru from under the gun.

Vandyshev had around 225,000 behind and was facing a bet for all of his chips on the river. After being in the tank, Vandyshev got out his wallet and threw a crisp 50 euro note over to Spataru in a request to see his cards.

After Vandyshev folded, Spataru grabbed the note and then exposed his 109 for a straight as he raked in the pot.

"Spend it wisely," joked Max Avela.

Pflock Spikes the River to Bust De Haas

Level 13 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Pascal Pflock
Pascal Pflock

Jan Dijkstra raised to 11,000 in middle position and Pascal Pflock called in the hijack. Lambertus De Haas then three-bet to 135,000 in the cutoff, a bet representing most of his stack, and Dijkstra folded. Pflock, though, moved all in and De Haas committed the rest of his chips.

Lambertus De Haas: AK All in
Pascal Pflock: AQ

De Haas had Pflock dominated as the flop came 2108. The 7 turn gave Pflock outs with a flush draw, while the K river gave De Haas top pair but also improved Pflock to a flush to send De Haas to the rail.

Hu Shows a Card

Level 13 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Alexander Dovzhenko raised from early position with Lulei Hu calling from the next seat and Rutger Hennen defending his big blind.

After Hennen checked the 358 flop, Dovzhenko bet 12,000 and was met by a raise to 37,000 from Hu. Hennen released his cards but Dovzhenko put in the call.

A 7 fell on the turn and Dovzhenko checked. Hu put together a bet of 62,000, which forced Dovzhenko to fold. As the pot was sent to Hu, he revealed just the K.

Three ways to the AJ4K turn, Tyson Strauss bet 20,000 and big stack Bastian Gallitzendoerfer called in the next seat while Wojciech Barzantny got out of the way. Both players then checked the 7 on the river and Strauss won the pot with the KK for a set of kings.
