Fausto Tantillo moved all in for 52,000 under the gun and Daniel Pidun called in early position. Antonio Fragale then reraised to 175,000 in the small blind, chasing away Pidun.
Fausto Tantillo: J♥7♦
Antonio Fragale: Q♣Q♥
The 10♠2♠2♣ didn't give Tantillo any hope, while the Q♠ turn improved Fragale to a full house and left Tantillo drawing dead. The river was the 4♣ and Fragale scored the knockout.
In a single-raised pot to the 8♠6♠2♣ flop, Jan Krnac and Viorel Gavrila got their stacks into the middle.
Jan Krnac: A♠2♠
Viorel Gavrila: 9♣9♠
Gavrila was ahead with the over pair but Krnac had plenty of outs with his bottom pair and nut flush draw. Nothing changed with the 8♣ turn and the 4♣ on the river kept Gavrila ahead. Both stacks were counted and the 311,000 of Krnac were covered.
Nikolas Wicquart moved all in for 132,000 in the hijack, Ran Ilani reshoved for 735,000 under the gun, and Govert Metaal called on the button to put both opponents at risk.
Nikolas Wicquart: J♣J♥
Ran Ilani: J♠J♦
Govert Metaal: A♠K♠
Both Wicquart and Ilani showed two jacks and were racing against Metaal as the flop came 7♦5♦3♦, giving Ilani a flush draw. The 4♦ turn made his flush, and Ilani scooped the pot after the K♦ river, sending Wicquart to the rail and earning a double up off Metaal.
Marco Di Persio made it roughly 33,000 from middle position and Wojciech Barzantny three-bet the hijack to 96,000. When it folded back to Di Persio, he four-bet to 159,000, which Barzantny called.
Upon seeing the dealer fan out the 9♣3♣8♦ flop, Di Persio placed out a bet of 65,000. Barzantny continued in the form of a call.
Di Persio and Barzantny checked through the 7♣ turn and 9♥ river. Di Persio was first to show and revealed A♥Q♠ for ace-high. Barzantny couldn't beat it as he mucked his cards, surrendering the pot to Di Persio.
Gerald Karlic limped from the small blind, and Vlastimil Pustina raised to 68,000 from the big blind. Karlic responded with a three-bet to 195,000, and Pustina called after some thought.
On the J♣10♠4♠ flop, Karlic fired out a bet of 125,000, and Pustina quickly folded.
Patrick Fasching was all-in for 52,000 and at risk against Fausto Tantillo.
Patrick Fasching: 7♦7♣
Fausto Tantillo: J♣J♠
Fasching needed some help, and he found it on the 10♦7♠6♥ flop, hitting middle set.
The 9♥ turn and 6♣ river were bricks, and Fasching celebrated his double-up with gusto, punching the air and shouting "Yes!".
Mustafa Sharanshi was all-in preflop for 111,000 and picked up two callers in Fausto Tantillo out of the small blinds and Daniel Pidun in the big blind. The A♦A♥4♥ flop was checked before the 7♥ followed on the turn. Tantillo now bet 135,000 and Pidun declared all-in, which Tantillo called after brief consideration.
Mustafa Sharanshi: Q♠Q♦
Daniel Pidun: J♥8♥
Fausto Tantillo: A♠Q♣
Sharanshi was drawing dead while Tantillo still had outs to improve to knock out two players with a possible full house. The river was the 3♠ and the stacks were counted. Pidun was at risk for 360,000 and doubled through Tantillo to leave the latter very short.
Bartlomiej Muzacz raised to 32,000 in middle position before Johannes Franz moved all in from the small blind. Boris Kuzmanovic called for his last 195,000 in the big blind, while Muzacz gave the decision some thought before folding.
Boris Kuzmanovic: A♣K♦
Johannes Franz: A♦9♣
The flop came 7♣5♦5♠, while the K♥ turn gave Kuzmanovic two pair and left Franz drawing dead. The K♣ river improved him to a full house, and Kuzmanovic doubled up.
"Eights? Sixes?" he asked Muzacz.
"Better," Muzacz replied.
