Jungevicius Bubbles the 2025 WSOPE Main Event

Kestutis Jungevicius Eliminated on the Bubble

On the direct bubble, Kestutis Jungevicius min-raised to 32,000 from early position, and Ran Ilani called out of the big blind.

Ilani checked the A♥8♦9♠ flop, prompting Jungevicius to fire a continuation-bet of 16,000. Ilani check-jammed for Jungevicius' stack of 395,000, and Jungevicius snap-called. Once the other tables had completed their hands and the cameras arrived, the players revealed their cards with Jungevicius at risk.

Jungevicius currently had the nuts with a set of aces, but Ilani had outs in the form of a straight draw.

A 10♥ rolled off on the turn to improve Ilani to a straight, and meant Jungevicius needed a board-pairing river to stay alive and keep the tournament on the bubble.

The dealer burned a card, then dealt the 2♦ to complete the board. Ilani's straight held up, and Jungevicius was the bubble boy of the 2025 WSOPE Main Event.

The second all-in and call happened on the live stream feature table on which Ivan Banic was all-in and at risk for 350,000 against Marcello Miniucchi in a preflop duel of pocket pairs.

The superior pair remained ahead all the way on the 9♠5♦3♦K♥K♣ board and Banic avoided to chop the min-cash.

Martin Kabrhel has been telling Dinesh Alt he is going to be the bubble boy for around the last hour, and here Kabrhel, who has been opening every hand since hand-for-hand play commenced, opened to 32,000 into Alt's big blind.

On the J♥8♥6♦ flop, Alt check-called versus a bet of 24,000 from Kabrhel.

The same pattern followed on the 5♥ turn, this time in respect of a bet of 75,000 from the Czech.

The Q♦ river completed the board. Alt checked once more, and Kabrhel jammed with the covering stack.

Alt asked for a count, but folded after some deliberation.

Giuliano Bendinelli raised to 32,000 in the hijack with Timofey Asmolov calling on the button, and Max Schoch defending his big blind.

Schoch checked the K♠J♥J♠ flop and Bendinelli fired out a bet of 30,000. Asmolov called and Schoch folded.

The A♦ turn and 6♥ river checked through for Bendinelli to reveal K♣Q♣ for a pair of kings. Asmolov had that beat with J♦9♦ for trips on the flop and the pot went over to him.

Vlastimil Pustina raised to 32,000 in the hijack and Roland Haddad called in the big blind.

The flop came 7♦5♠4♦ and Pustina bet 66,000. Haddad called and the 6♥ fell on the turn.

Pustina then bet 105,000, Haddad moved all in for 350,000, and Pustina snap-called. "Let's go diamond," Pustina said as they waited to turn over their cards.

Haddad ended up showing A♠8♠, while Pustina had K♦8♦. Both players had the same straight, while Pustina was drawing to a flush with a chance to burst the bubble but he missed the A♥ river and they chopped the pot.

The turn was checked to the 2♣ river, where D'Alessio folded to a bet of 100,000 from Karlic.

Karlic tabled Q♥10♦ for the turned nut king-high straight, and Langer tabled K♦Q♠ as he took his leave.

We are now in hand-for-hand play.

The action was picked up on the 9♠7♥4♣ on which Bastian Gallitzendoerfer led out of the big blind for 33,000. Luca Maccatrozzo raised to 77,000 from under the gun and the German called.

Gallitzendoerfer led again the 6♦ on the turn for 100,000 and then called when Maccatrozzo moved all-in for 147,000 total.

"Aces?" Gallitzendoerfer instantly asked but the Italian shook his head.

Gallitzendoerfer was behind with bottom pair and the straight draw but still had plenty of equity to bring the field one elimination closer to the bubble. The river was the 6♠ and Maccatrozzo doubled with 102 players left and 99 spots paid.
