Robert Dascalescu raised to 16,000 under the gun, Luca Cappellari moved all in for 115,000 in the big blind, and Dascalescu called.
Luca Cappellari: A♣K♦
Robert Dascalescu: 7♠7♦
The flop came 7♣3♠9♣ to give Dascalescu a set, while the 3♦ turn improved him to a full house and left Cappellari drawing dead. The river was the 5♠ and Cappellari was sent to the rail.
Marcus Dijner made it 16,000 from the cutoff and Ruben Balasanyan jammed for 115,000 from the button. Once the blinds folded, Dijner snap-called.
Ruben Balasanyan: 7♣7♥
Marcus Dijner: A♥A♦
Dijner held the preflop nuts and just needed to fade a seven to take all of Balasanyan's chips.
A clean runout of Q♦J♣9♣Q♠10♥ came out for Dijner's aces, and Balasanyan headed to the rail.
With around 70,000 in the pot on a flop of A♠K♣9♠, Kevin Berman moved all in for 50,000 from middle position. Den Girshberg was in the hijack and took a minute before calling.
Kevin Berman: K♦8♦
Den Girshberg: A♣10♥
Girshberg was ahead with his pair of aces, and Berman couldn't catch up on the 9♦ turn or Q♠ river as he joined the early list of casualties.
Massimo Bernardi shoved 49,000 in from middle position and after Daniel Frey looked at his cards in the big blind, he announced a call.
Massimo Bernardi: A♣8♥
Daniel Frey: A♠2♣
Bernardi in good shape to double up, but let out a huge sigh as the J♣2♦J♥ flop paired the deuce of his opponent. No help arrived on either the 10♦ turn or 4♦ river, and Bernardi was directed to the payout desk.
Three ways to the 10♦8♣2♦2♥ turn, Fabian Gans pushed all-in for fewer than ten big blinds. Yevgen Vasylenko moved all-in over the top and that forced out Arin Mohamad.
Fabian Gans: 9♦8♠
Yevgen Vasylenko: J♦J♠
Gans paired up with the 9♥ river but it was too little, too late, as the jacks and deuces of Vasylenko remained ahead.
The cards were already on their backs in a preflop clash worth half a million in chips and it became apparent why once the showdown proceeded between Victor Vozian and Alexander Hepting.
Victor Vozian: A♣A♥
Alexander Hepting: K♠K♣
The 9♥3♦3♠7♠2♦ board changed nothing and Vozian doubled for 250,000.
"Nice first hand ... maybe not for you," Vozian said in table chat.
Robert Huber raised the button before Adam Deary three-bet out of the small blind to 55,000. Huber called to see a flop.
Deary bet around 80,000 on the 3♣6♦7♣ flop, and then called the 190,000 jam of Huber.
Robert Huber: 5♥4♥
Adam Deary: A♠10♣
Huber had flopped then nuts, and Deary was almost drawing the dead. The rest of the board ran out 3♦9♠, and the majority of Deary's stack headed over to Huber.
Around 50,000 was in the pot as Victor Jueejat and Tamas Poernye went heads-up to a flop of J♦7♣A♥. Jueejat then bet 17,000 from early position, and Poernye called in middle position.
The turn was the Q♥ and Jueejat moved all in. Poernye snap-called for his last 77,000 and turned over J♣J♠ for a flopped set. Jueejat could only show A♣4♣ as he was already drawing dead. The river was the 5♣ and Jueejat handed over most of his stack.
