2025 WSOP Europe
Marcus Dijner made it 24,000 from middle position with only Vladimir Martynov calling on the button.
Dijner started with a check on the 5♥Q♣4♦ flop and Martynov bet 21,000. Dijner continued in the form of a call.
An 9♣ appeared on the turn and both players checked for the 8♦ to complete the board. Dijner bet 50,000, causing Martynov to return his cards to the dealer.
Siegfried Stoss raised to 25,000 under the gun and was called by Maik Dehmlow in middle position and Przemyslaw Szymanski in the hijack. De Han Kim then moved all in for 190,000 on the button and Stoss and Dehmlow folded, but Szymanski called to put Kim at risk.
De Han Kim: 10♥10♣
Przemyslaw Szymanski: K♠J♠
It was a race situation, and Kim came out on top after the board ran out 8♠2♥5♣4♣9♣ to give him the double up, while Szymanski, who won this event at last year's WSOP Europe, was left nursing a short stack.
Adam Deary had opened to 25,000 from under the gun and Amit Buganim shoved the cutoff for 79,000. A few folds later the action was back on Deary, and he wasted no time in calling.
Amit Buganim: K♦Q♠
Adam Deary: A♣K♠
Buganim was way behind, and the flop of 10♠8♦10♥ didn't offer much to work with. A J♦ on the did give him an open-ended straight draw, but it was Deary who made a straight as the Q♥ river gave him Broadway, which ended Buganim's run.
From under the gun, Rachid El Yaacoubi min-raised to 24,000 and only Patrik Zidek defended his big blind.
Two checks followed the 4♥9♦4♣ flop to see the A♠ appear on the turn. Zidek checked for a second time and Yaacoubi fired a delayed continuation-bet of 15,000. Zidek gathered together a check-raise to around 47,000, prompting Yaacoubi to snap-fold.
Around 160,000 was already in the middle as Ofer Sisso and Gabriel Rymar saw a flop of J♣Q♠K♦. Rymar then bet 70,000 from the hijack and Sisso called in the cutoff.
Both players checked the 9♦ turn before Rymar bet another 125,000 on the 7♠ river.
Sisso let out a smile and shook his head as he took several minutes to consider the decision. He eventually folded and the rest of the table implored Rymar to show one. He obliged by flipping over the J♣ as he took in the pot.
At the same time at an adjacent table, Nghi Tran had three-bet to 60,000 on the button before Dong He moved all in from the cutoff. Tran called for around 100,000 more.
Nghi Tran: A♠Q♣
Dong He: A♣J♦
Tran had He dominated, but the J♠6♣2♥ flop gave He the lead with top pair. The rest of the board came 8♠K♣ and Tran was sent to the rail.
On the river of a Q♦J♠10♠6♠5♦ board, Karol Bogusz bet 142,000 with fewer than that behind. Robin Meyer was in the tank and eventually paid it off, then tapped the table when Bogusz revealed the K♦9♦ for the flopped king-high straight.
