The remaining 148 players are heading on a 20-minute break.
Asish Ghosh raised to 24,000 in the cutoff and Bogdan Roman three-bet to 67,000 on the button. Briant Alavez called in the small blind, leaving himself 15,000 behind, while Ghosh got out of the way.
Roman asked Alavez why he didn't just go all in. "Ah, there's a jump. I'll wait for you," Roman realized as he allowed Alavez to take a few minutes. The tournament clock eventually ticked down a player, and Alavez quickly thereafter put in the rest of his chips. Roman called.
Briant Alavez: A♥10♥
Bogdan Roman: K♣K♦
Roman showed a pair of kings, but Alavez had outflopped him with a pair of aces. The board ran out Q♦9♣ and Alavez doubled up.

Christian Leichtfried clashed with Dominik Koenig when he turned the nut flush with A♠J♠ on K♠J♥3♠2♠ and was up against K♦K♥. The river was the 2♣ and Koenig doubled for 174,000.
Down to 12,000, Leichtfried was forced all-in and Dorian Melchers raised to 50,000 from under the gun to force out everyone else.
Christian Leichtfried: K♦2♦
Dorian Melchers: A♠A♣
"Nice hand," Leichtfried grimaced and could not find a miracle on the 8♠7♣5♣6♥Q♥ runout. Melchers won the pot but bowed out prior to the first break on Day 2 as well.

Asish Ghosh and Bogdan Roman got all of their chips into the middle preflop with Ghosh being the player at risk.
Asish Ghosh: A♣A♥
Bogdan Roman: 10♣10♦
Ghosh's aces took a commanding lead on the A♦5♥8♥ flop by improving to a set. The 10♥ turn gave Roman a glimmer of hope, but a 5♣ to complete the board wasn't the card he was looking for, and a large portion of his stack was sent over to Ghosh.

Andreas Mages shoved for 107,000 from the hijack and Mathias Wagemeyer called off his short stack of around 65,000 from the big blind.
Mathias Wagemeyer: Q♠7♠
Andreas Mages: A♦8♦
Wagemeyer was already on his feet after the A♣6♥8♣ flop hit the table, but just slowed down his exit when the 9♠ fell on the turn, which gave him a straight draw.
However, there was no runner-runner for Wagemeyer as the K♥ dropped on the river, which ended his run.

Ante Baricevic jammed for 140,000 out of the cutoff and only Vangu Garu made the call to try and bust him from the button.
Ante Baricevic: K♦Q♠
Vangu Garu: A♦Q♦
Baricevic needed a lot of help from the dealer to beat the ace-queen of Garu. A board of 5♣3♠8♥5♦7♣ provided no help to either player, and all of Baricevic's stack was absorbed into Garu's.

Vikrant Mangal was already all in on a short stack as Andrei Spataru and Dmytro Fedorov went to a flop of 3♣9♦Q♦. Spataru then bet 20,000 from the hijack, Fedorov raised to 65,000 in the small blind, and Spataru called.
The turn was the A♣ and Fedorov moved all in for 198,000. Spataru cut out the chips to call and counted out the rest of his stack, tanking for a few minutes. Mangal eventually called the clock.
"He's all in. Are you in a rush? Then go," Spataru said to him before eventually folding.
Fedorov showed K♦J♦, while Mangal had 9♣5♣ for a pair of nines. The 10♠ river improved Fedorov to the nut straight and Spataru wiped his brow while Mangal was sent to the rail.
