Pawel Wojciechowski raised to 50,000 in middle position and Mo Xu three-bet to 175,000 on the button. Anthony Phillips then moved all in for 420,000 in the big blind, Wojciechowski folded, while Xu snap-called.
Anthony Phillips: A♦Q♣
Mo Xu: A♠K♠
Phillips found himself dominated as the flop came 2♥2♠5♦. The 8♠ turn also gave Xu a flush draw to take away some of Phillips' outs, while the 10♣ river sealed Phillips' elimination.
At another table, Hicham Aouraghe had a raise of 125,000 in front of him from the small blind before Sebastian Curcu moved all in for 700,000 in the big blind. Aouraghe quickly called.
Sebastian Curcu: 7♦7♠
Hicham Aouraghe: A♣A♠
Aouraghe hit top set on the A♥2♦8♠ flop, and Curcu was already out of his seat and headed to the payout desk as the 4♠ and 3♥ completed the board.
Xiaohua Yang was spotted raking in a healthy double through Charlie Chiu with the cards of the latter already mucked. On a board of K♠6♣5♠A♣9♠, the K♥Q♠ of Yang were the best hand beating what appears to have been king-jack for the Taiwanese poker pro.
Francesco Zappala opened to 50,000 from middle position and was called by Yves Thalmann in the hijack. Ran Ilani in the small blind three-bet all-in for roughly 350,000, Zappala four-bet to 550,000 and Thalmann folded.
Ran Ilani: 7♣7♠
Francesco Zappala: A♥Q♣
Zappala hit the best two pair on 10♣10♥A♦Q♥J♣ to eliminate Ilani.
Three-way on a flop of 5♠3♠9♥, Thodoris Bariampas in early position bet 60,000. Patrik Jaros called from the button, but Paul Covaciu in the big blind raised all-in for 205,000. Bariampas moved all-in, prompting Jaros to fold.
Paul Covaciu: 5♥2♥
Thodoris Bariampas: Q♠Q♥
The J♦8♦ runout changed nothing and Covaciu was eliminated.
Roman Isaienko jammed for around 300,000 from the hijack before Villiel Kordonskiy committed his final 200,000 from the button. Once the the blinds folded, the cards were turned over with Kordonskiy being at risk.
Villiel Kordonskiy: K♣K♥
Roman Isaienko: 8♦8♠
Kordonskiy was in a great spot to double up if he could dodge an eight.
A flop of 3♣9♥5♣ didn't change anything, and neither did the 2♠ turn. But, the brutal 8♣ rolled off on the river to give Isaienko the winning hand with a set of eights, sending Kordonskiy to the rail.
