Flak Avoids Big Collision With Palevic

Grzegorz Flak raised to 80,000 under the gun and Tobias Peters and Alessandro Pichierri called in the blinds.

All three players checked the 6♠4♥2♦ flop. Peters then bet 85,000 on the 4♣ turn and both opponents quickly folded. Peters showed K♦K♣ as he took the pot.

Rifat Palevic then opened to 150,000 under the gun and Flak called in the big blind. Palevic continued for 150,000 on the A♣10♠4♠ flop and Flak quickly folded J♠J♦. Palevic showed him A♠K♣.

With 500,000 to start the hand, Alessandro Pichierri made it 300,000 from the hijack. Iago Savino jammed from the cutoff for 695,000, and Rifat Palevic moved in over the top for 810,000. Pichierri tanked for a while before opting to fold.

It was a flip that was crucial for both players' future in the tournament.

The low flop of 4♦7♦6♣ was great for Palevic, but Savino picked up a flush draw on the 6♦ turn. A 4♥ completed the board, meaning Palevic's pocket tens held up and Savino was out in 12th place.

The Q♥ arrived on the turn and Seelentag check-called Speranzoni's second barrel of 175,000.

The two players checked the K♥ river and Seelentag won the pot with a boat holding K♠2♠.
