Eduard Litskan raised to 1,600 from the hijack before Bruno Lopes made it 3,100 from the cutoff. Julian Lozano called from the button and Litskan tagged along.
The 8♥5♥10♣ flop checked through to the 2♦ turn. Litskan checked and Lopes bet 3,500. Lozano folded but Litskan remained sticky.
Litskan checked the 7♥ river, and Lopes made a huge overbet, moving all in for Litskan's stack of 54,500, which was around three times the pot.
Litskan went deep into the tank, agonizing over his options. He used up three time banks before calling.
"YESSSSSSS!!!!!!" Litskan screamed when Lopes could only show A♥Q♣ for ace-high. Litskan turned over his A♣7♠, meaning he called with just a pair of sevens. Lopes was left with around 18,000.
After snapping a photo of the hands, Litskan returned to his seat and apologized to Lopes for the emotion. Lopes was cool about it, and told him not to worry.
Also on the table is John Wasnock, the 2025 WSOP Main Event runner-up, and he's above the 60,000 starting stack.

Popular poker content creator Abby Merk had recently taken her seat in the WSOP Europe Main Event, and opened to 1,300 from the cutoff. Jamie Dwan three-bet to 4,000 from the button, with the action folding back to Merk. She let her hand go.
On a nearby table, Annette Obrestad opened to 1,300 from the cutoff and called from the small blind.
It checked through to the river, where the board read 9♥7♣5♥7♥A♠. Cooper check, and immediately folded when Obrestad reached for her chips.
"It'd be nice if it worked every time, just reaching for your chips and getting the fold."

Terrance Reid raised to 1,300 from under the gun before Andras Nemeth three-bet to 4,500 from the cutoff. Luis Valencia then made it 10,000 from the button. The blinds folded to put the action back on Reid, who five-bet to 18,000. Only Valencia called.
Valencia called a bet of 8,000 on the K♠3♦3♣ flop, bringing in the J♣ turn, and leaving himself with around 55,000 behind. Reid fired out another 10,000 and gleefully tabled the 6♦ after Valencia folded.

Kim Haneul made it 1,500 from under the gun, and Jiaming Zhao called from the cutoff. Zhao called a bet of 1,500 on the K♦10♥8♥ flop before the Q♣ turn and K♠ river checked through to showdown. Haneul tabled A♠10♠ for kings and tens but was bested by Zhao's Q♠9♠, good for kings and queens.
On the next deal, Rania Nasreddine raised to 1,300 from early position. Vanessa Kade Kade folded on Nasreddine's direct left before Zhao called from the hijack. Arman Zonobi then called from the button before Carl Larsson bumped it to 10,000 from the small blind. Haneul folded his big blind, with Nasreddine quickly making it 40,000. She took down the pot after folding out the table, and proudly tabled her Q♠Q♦.

With more than 680 entries recorded so far on Day 1a, this year’s field has already surpassed last year’s total of 659 entries.
Of course, the lower buy-in plays an important role in these numbers, but the tournament is only halfway through the first of three starting flights, and late registration remains open for two levels on Day 2.
Laszlo Vaczy jammed for 7,700 from under the gun and was called by Alin Ivan in middle position.
Laszlo Vaczy: Q♠10♠
Alin Ivan: 8♠8♣
Ivan kept the lead all the way through a board of 7♦2♠5♥8♥J♣ and hit a set to sent Vaczy to the rail.
